In loving memory of: Moon Earlier tonight, my beautiful betta fish passed. She was mauled by one of my newer fish, and I feel incredibly bad. I loved her so much, and I hope she had a good life. She was a wonderful female halfmoon betta, who had tattered fins from an irresponsible breeding attempt [peer pressured into it by my grandmother], but she was perfect through and through. I'll miss the way you fluttered your fins, the way you swam up to me when I approached the glass, the way you always scared me half to death when you decided to squeeze into the oddest places... I love you Moon I'm sorry

Note: 'It's just a fish' - though she was only a fish I was very emotionally attached to her, and she was my favorite... I love caring for fish, and she was one of my first residents of my current tankmates. Fish can feel pain and stress too, so it's awful to think about how she died. She was more than just a fish for me, she was my child.
