LinkChapter 7
A black she-cat was grooming herself in the forest. Suddenly, a mew popped out. “Nightclaw?”
The she-cat looked up, her paw still raised in the air. Milk stood across from her.
“Shock to see you.” She blinked.
“Why’s that?”
“It’s just been so long.”
She shrugged.
“I suggest you should… Maybe leave… Ice and Bearflinch is coming this way.”
Nightpelt/claw huffed, jumping into a tree, now with golden leaves. Milk sighed, “I’m sorry.”
The black she-cat watched as the two bigger cats walked past. Bearflinch sniffed.
“It smells.” She recoiled.
“Everywhere smells.” Ice retorted.
“This place smells super bad though.”
“I mean, we are near Maple trees.”
“It smells like a stinky cat.” She huffed, “Is it you?”
“If it was me, you would have smelled it earlier. I think that you’re imagining things. Unless it’s Milk.”

Link“Twig just finished grooming me,” She blinked, “It’s probably the sap.”
“See Bearflinch? I told you.”
“Whatever.” Bearflinch twitched her tail, “I can’t hunt here.”
“Then let’s move on.”
Bearflinch nodded and moved deep into the forest, where it was more spruce and oak. Nightpelt/claw huffed and jumped down. ‘It smells like a stinky cat. Is it you?” She mocked.
Milk chuckled, “Their pretty dumb.”
“Anyway, I’m going to go take a walk around.”
“Can I follow?”
“I guess.”
Milk began to walk, “Yay!” She purred.
Nightpelt/claw padded to the direction away from the Clan’s territory. They ended up in a Sunflower field. Milk smiled as she flopped down. The black she-cat batted at the flowers, making them drop frozen seeds.
“I heard those could be used as medicine.” The pregnant she-cat smiled.
“They don’t do anything. You could eat them, but it’s too far into Leaf-Bare for that.”
“Are you sure? Have you tried?”
“Tried what? Eating or healing?”
“Both.”
“Yeah. The seeds do nothing.”

Link“Dang.” She frowned and rolled onto her back.
Nightpelt/claw began walking again. She followed. “It’s so boring out here.”
“I know…” She sighed.
Nightpelt/claw turned, walked North. Milk shook her head, “I should be getting back.”
“Alright then. See ya later.”
Milk made her way back to Ice and Bearflinch, who had caught a few birds. Ice looked up. “Where have you been?” He demanded.
“I went up to the sunflower field to see if there were any herbs… Twig asked me too.”
Ice raised an eyebrow.
“Turned out the sunflower seeds are useless.”
“Uh huh.” Ice’s tail twitched. “I’ll go see Twig.”
Milk knew Twig would lie for her, “Alright.”
Ice padded into the cave. “Twig!” He shouted.
“Yes?” He walked out.
“Have you told Milk to do anything recently?”
“Why, yes?” He tilted his head.
“And what was it?”

Link“I think to get moss for her nest, Robin, and food…”
Ice’s ear twitched. “But not herbs?”
“I think I did.. Maybe when I complained about Robin having nothing for bellyaches….”
“Where did you send her?”
“Nowhere? I just said I wish we had more herbs.”
Ice nodded. “Thank you.” He walked back up to Milk, looming over her.
“I!-” Milk began to tremble.
“Twig didn’t send you anywhere.”
“Well! It was easier to say that than saying I was searching for herbs because… Let’s be honest! He’s gotten a bit lazy at searching for them!”
Ice growled. Milk growled back, “I will NOT let myself be abused anymore.”
Ice blinked. “Abused?”
“You always took prey from me, made me clean the moss, treated me like a kit!”
“I haven’t been doing that.” He looked around. “But whoever has, better speak up now.”
“No, you have.” Twig called him out, “You treat her like she’s a kit many times.”
Spotty glared at Twig. “I haven’t seen him do anything like that.”
“Neither have I.” Dove agreed.

Link“You all are blind.” Twig glared at them all. As the strongest cat, his muscles twitched.
Dove puffed out her chest. “How do we know you aren’t just making things up?”
“Why would I lie? You guys got so used to it. You do the same to Robin too.”
Robin meekly spoke up. “We need to stop fighting.”
“Fine. Just leave my Milk alone.” Twig growled as he licked the top of her head, then dragged her into their den.
Robin’s ear twitched. You can’t own another cat. Bearflinch sighed, “Yet… Twig acts like an over obsessive Queen. How cute.” She hissed. Robin only turned and walked back to the Medicine Cat den.
“But Robin, you do need some more herbs.” Bearflinch pointed out.
“It’s fine.”
“You only have 3 poppyseeds.” She retorted.
“I’ll get them when it’s dark outside.” He said, then thinking, Even if it is colder. Bearflinch huffed, “Fine.”
