So
Here is the story of how i got them
So
today we had a crawfish boil.
yesterday i asked my dad if i could keep one as a pet.
he didn't care and was like 'yeah, sure, why not?' cause i've been asking for a pet for about infinity now. plus, they were arriving LIVE tomorrow! (tomorrow was/is today yesterday). SO i emptied out a bowl to put my crawfish in tomorrow (today). (the bowl had wine corks in it; i put them in a pitcher. the corks are FINE, GEEZ.)
then
today i got my crawfish!!!!! my dad picked up a really small one and gave him to me. i held him for a bit, then showed my mom and ran inside to put him in the bowl i'd gotten for him. i watched him for a bit, and then put in a little bit of tap water and plopped him back inside his bowl. a bit after, i got him a rock.
later, my dad and i (and my buddy by my side) took my little guy out of his tank and put some gravel into the bowl for him. we put him back inside.

so then later
when my dad was getting ready to boil the crawfish ( :( ) i picked up another small one (it said they get territorial on a couple websites but then i read on one that if there is more than 1 crawfish then make sure they r the same size and these little qts are pretty much identical i guess) and i took it inside and plopped it into the bowl ((3 another pet saved). I put a divider (a jar lid) into the bowl so they wouldnt attack each other. (just in case) (oh, and did i mention that my super nice neighbor gave me a 10-gallon tank for them?! no, i did not, and yes she did! i just gotta clean it (tomorrow)).
So yes basically now i got 2 pet crawfish and i'm not petless anymore!!!! they are the biggest qts and i love them!!!! still haven't got names for them tho. :/. I'm thinking bubbles for the first one i got cause when i first put him in his bowl he started blowing bubbles. idk if i should even name them, tho.
I think a name like pincher would be good. they hurt when they grab you, so watch out. Maybe like kicker? that's how they swim.
and those names r good! i still dont hv the perfect name, tho... :/
