LinkOkay... This is a very serious situation. My friend has told me he is being raped by his father and can't get out of the house. He's depressed, or course, and contemplated suicide. Does anybody know what to do? Please?

so he's a dude being raped by his dad, hmm... I have no idea. no suicide. tell him to pray about it and ask God. Maybe tell the authorities like 911?
mmkay, thank you. I hope he is okay. tell him when he goes to school or something to go to the phone and call 911 or right now.
Ok I know because this is the internet this doesn't matter but I hope your friend won't haft to deal with that anymore and that their father either stops or gets arrested and that your friend won't get harmed anymore if I could really help I would I just hope they will be okay
1: Tell an adult you trust whatever he told you.
2: Get him to tell an adult he trusts, possibly the same one. I'd recommend a teacher that you like. Any teacher will help him and you, that's what they get paid for.
3: Don't tell your friend's name or problems to strangers on the internet. Like, in any situation.
DON'T CALL THE POLICE. Hell, get your parents to call the police. just don't do it yourself. I'm guessing you're a kid. I'm not saying your friend isn't telling the truth, but IF he isn't, you could get an innocent person in trouble. Tell your parents, please.

I agree, hon. Just tell a trusted adult, that's the best you can do, you could save this boy's life. Also just make sure you're there for him and that you be as understanding and sensitive as possible.
I would like to thank every one of you for the suggestions, and I'll be sure to try to tell an adult when I'm capable of doing to. But for now, I have given him emotional support while I haven't seen these comments and I've been notified by his girlfriend that I have saved him from committing suicide. Again, I thank everybody for helping out in his time of need...
dont ask random children on the internet what to do and call the police
Don't call the police, get a trusted adult to, because you are a child and they will know what to do.
