LinkThat's been annoying me for AGES now. It was funny at first, and could work when I'm actually in on the joke, but you can't just start commenting things like that on ACTUAL art I want people to like.
Comments like that could demotivate small artists who are trying to be creative, and make them think they ain't being creative enough. It really sucks.

LinkI completely agree
yeah its kinda dumb to do that
like if i said "oH yOuR cHaRaCtEr LoOkS lIkE tHiS cHaRaCtEr" then you feel bad for 'stealing' even if you didnt know someone also had the design

Does it count when I say "This character reminds me of x?"
If so I greatly apologize for doing that. I thought it was used as a compliment but I guess I'm wrong.
Well, if you litreally call someones character something else in a rude way like for example: if someone calls maria "Girl Mario" straight up in its own comment, thats annoying, and im sure you dont want people referring her as that. Also , what you said as in,"This character reminds me of x?" That is also kinda a bit annoying because it makes the creator of the oc feel unmotivated and unoriginal, but it isnt your fault, cuz the characer you thought of comes to mind when you look at said persons oc.
I’ve used to say “this looks like, this reminds me of” a lot on here because I thought I was being original with the comment. I’ve realized how much this actually puts an artist down on their creativity. Some people need to be in other people’s shoes to see how they would feel if they got that comment about their oc.
