Her pains were agonizing as she panted with the effort. seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned to hours, and finally the little baby was born! The father, Roberto, groomed his mate, proud of her hard work of bringing their new baby to the world.

She slowly shifted onto her belly, excited to meet her newborn kid. Her eyes fell upon him and they widened. She flicked her ears, sniffing the kid. Both the mother and the father were skeptical on what had been born. He looked nothing like a normal goat kid, he looked as if she just gave birth to an abomination.

They looked at each other and back at the baby. He didn't have hooves, instead he had little paws like that of a canine creature. he had a little build of a goat, but he just seemed to be unnatural.

The farmer walked in slowly, knowing that his goat had successfully given birth. Another farmer walked behind him, following him into the shack. They both looked the baby over and the farmer's friend looked in shock and slight fear. "what is that thing!? it's some kind of... abomination!". The little baby squirmed around, sniffing for his mother, as any baby would, he would instinctively drink from his mother.

"In all my life i've never seen a baby like that... should we kill it?..." The farmer's friend asked, gently poking the newborn with his rake, just enough to see the baby abomination move. The owner of the goats stopped him, staring at the baby and finally flicking his old gray eyes to the confused mother's amber ones and back to his old friend.

"no... let's keep it alive.. I want to see what this creature can do once it grows.. if it survives the night that is.. due to his deformity..". The farmer's friend nodded, watching the strange baby as it went slowly and drank from its mother. He then nodded to the owner in farewell and left the goat shack to tend to his own herds and cattle.

"Well then... if you live you, might be the start of something special...". The farmer seemed to see potential in the strange baby. But the parents were skeptical on everything about him. The father sighed. "Well what are we gonna do with it?.." He asked, looking at his son in meek disgust. "I don't know.." Maria said, pushing away the baby. It whimpered, still very hungry, but the mother refused to feed him. " I was so excited to finally have a baby of my own... and now that he's come to this world as my son... and a son looking like that is no son of mine..."
