"Sure!" My moms eyes sparkled with the joy and happiness of me finally wanting to do something with her. I hopped over to the L-shaped couch and flicked on our favorite show, "The Twilight Zone.". I lounged on the couch, leaning on my mom. The opening theme played as we settled in. My mom smiled down at me, I looked up shot a smile towards her, and looked back at the T.V. "Whats going to happen now huh? Last episode they got invaded by aliens." Mom just nodded, enthralled with the extraordinary plot of the show.

Two or three hours later, at around nine 'o clock, I stretched my arms and stood up in an attempt to stretch. "Hey, mom? You want something to eat? I'm going to warm up some of our chicken and rice from last night." My mom just nodded half-asleep. I trudged to the kitchen, pulling open the refrigerater and scooping out a few spoon fulls of rice, and a couple of small pieces of chicken. I popped it into the microwave for about a minute and pulled out the steaming plate of food. I clumsily picked a fork from our silverware drawer and stabbed some food, shoving it into my mouth. It burned but I was hungry so I kept shoveling it into my mouth.

I stomped up the stairs to my room, curling up on the first blanket I saw and fell asleep soundly. I knew before my eyes were completely closed that I would have the dreams.
