Linkreading your comment, i feel it is very important for an artist to be proud of their work. just like in art, many guitarists dont know music theory, yet they can make hit riffs. artists can still make great pieces without this knowledge. i encourage you to keep trying, even if it seems like you are not improving at all. this knowledge is important in art, but i do believe whatever makes you happy or helps you express yourself is more important. remember to take breaks and dont force yourself too much, i hope your stress dies down❤ keep practicing, a lot of people are rooting you on.

idk sometimes i feel like i haven't improved on my art, now don't go saying "BUTYOuR ArT ISAMAZiNG!!!" I know it's NOT. I don't know anatomy and I didn't even tried to render/shade my art until like last year...and it sucks. I don't know perspective, I don't know any of the basic fundamentals of art...because I didn't tried to improve...
Because I thought it looked good, ever since I got all that undeserved attention here...but after I stayed away from FlipAnim and showed my work outside of here, no one's giving any attention to it at all, including my animated work...but I'm still trying for some stupid reason

Aw man I hope you doing ok. Don't hate yourself, everyone has there own style, you just need practice, I've made tutorials on shading if you need it, pepolr can help you ask, its ok to feel like this, but remember ppl here care for you and its not healthy to harm/hate yourself. I. Can help if you need it

There are many, many different unique forms of art, and everybody progresses at their own rate-- even if that rate is slower than what they want. It's hard looking at something you've made and not being satisfied with the results. We've all been there.
There was a point three years ago when my account took a turn in quality. I stopped drawing detailed backgrounds as often, my animations became scarce-- till they pretty much disappeared entirely from my more recent feed-- I was really just in a bad place mentally and that greatly affected my art at the time.
But I love art. I love my little characters. And I love drawing, even when it doesn't quite love me back.
So if you're willing to give yourself a chance to take the time to improve, no matter how long it takes, I promise you will see a great difference in your creations someday. Everything you're worried about now will change. You just have to give yourself the love and patience to get there. That'll always be the first step. ❤️

If improvement is what you want, I'd highly suggest diving into Pinterest (if you haven't already).
Sometimes just scrolling through, seeing a couple quick tutorials-- saving some important references for the future and keeping them in a board or two will really help you get started on your journey of growth. There are of course many sites similar you could use, or other sources completely different with the same use-- whatever you feel comfortable getting into, absolutely go for it. There are so many artists out there that can provide you with the advice and critique you need to feel satisfied.
Don't beat yourself up over what your past self didn't do. If improvement is what you want NOW, then start while that need is fresh. And we'll be here to watch it all happen. Cheering you on! 🙌🏽⭐

The thing is, you HAVE improved, in animating skills, and drawing, believe it or not. It's uncontrollable and happens unintentionally, with or without effort. Art being "good" or "better" is VERY subjective, and really only depends on if one likes it based off of their preferences or not.

By the way, this website has a smaller number of people here than out there; It's harder to gain attention from places like YouTube and Instagram because of the type of crowd in both places. Your art got the recognition it deserves here, but out there it's gonna take a longer time, sadly. Don't take from the likes you get or don't get to determine whether your art's of value or not. If you like it, that should be enough; it's your best, and if you don't like it yourself, YOU can always take that step forward and try to change it. It's all up to you!

Gonna be real realistic with you, that’s because only artists understand the work that goes into animation, and to take a step even further, only flipanim artists know how challenging it is to animate here in particular with the lack of tools. So people here will be absolutely amazed, and as they should be. It’s a challenge doing it here. Take it as being here amounting to wearing leg weights while running, you’re working with limited tools meaning you’ll either be spectacular once you hit a different animation program or you’re gonna take those weights with you unnecessarily.

Also...I know it’s easier said than done but don’t become too crazy about improving quickly, that can lead to art block and art just becoming a drag. If you want improvement, go steady with it, take the initiative to learn from others with styles similar to yours so it doesn’t look wonky. And experiment, don’t get comfy for too long with the same old stuff. Get different angles, lighting, effects ykyk.
if you want attention go with trends or fanarts, but only with fandoms you genuinely like.
People who only post ocs may not get as much attention, there are exceptions but normally no. Mix oc art with fandom art or trends. But be sure you’re having fun and be careful not to lose sight of that.
& I absolutely agree with the user above me. 🙏🙏

I understand how you feel honestly. I feel like that everyday with my own art. But what I learnt is don’t stress yourself/pressure yourself. Maybe if you want to improve ur style you can look at inspiration or etc!! It’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve. But please don’t stress yourself <33
Also it has been quite awhile since I last seen your page. In my eyes you have improved a lot to me. Keep going ❤️ don’t give up. If you ever feel like you need a break give yourself a break.
