I'm not into 3D modelling so I'm in no place to critique it BUT I would recommend looking at modern games like BOTW and Mario Odyssey and studying how different 3D textures combine into eachother to make a smooth, cohesive scene. That's all I can recommend rn!!

Bro 80s/90s/and early 2000s cgi is very wicked! There were limitations on the computers back then so they had to get creative! Did ya know the first computer graphic image took place in the 70s? It's surprising!
Last year for a project, I had to research a topic that interests me and I chose the history of cgi.
Nowadays, people use cgi to make things more high quality and realistic. Although it's cool and all, it kinda takes away that charm early cgi had.
in my opinion it's way too good for vintage cgi and the reflections and stuff are too high of a quality?? from old cgi i've seen anyway. The models are too smooth and the resolution and colors are too good?? i like the aesthetic and its good, but thats the issue if youre going for a vintage theme yk
Finally, some advice I was looking for!
I don't really know how to lower the quality of the render because I'm using using modern software, but I guess I need to do some research!
