LinkSo these creatures come a cave that was abandoned for many years after the cave opening collapsed, trapping any crystal miners inside. These crystals were originally mined many years before the collapse because they were a pretty blue and magenta mix that people found appealing. These crystals are relatively harmless if exposed to them for short periods of time or very little over long periods of time. These crystals were made with E.C.O. after the First Sister was killed and the E.C.O. left in the cave for the humans and monsters was abandoned. Any corpses left were turned into crystal due to the fact that E.C.O. reproduces rapidly if given a host. With the minerals in the cave giving it different properties, if formed crystals. After many years the cave was rediscovered with the crystals. Any of the miners left inside were left to their demise by the people, but since no one knew that the crystals had not pleasant effects, no one thought to get them out. So over time they turned into these creatures later

Linkknown as Kasteri. These creatures have been kept alive for hundreds of years while trapped underground in the maze like cave by these crystals since E.C.O. will do whatever it can to keep it's host alive. People did open up the cave again after a very long time though. No one expected to fine the creatures down there and once they did, people ran away as quickly as possible since these creatures were highly aggressive and tried to kill any other people. Any people that were killed were pulled back into the cave and later turned into Kasteri, but more zombie like versions of them. These creatures are unable to see, have highly developed sense of hearing, are not able to feel human emotion and will speak in the language they spoke fluently in their life to lure people into the cave if they can. These creatures work like a hive mind, only caring about making more and seem to not have any form of self preservation. They will very rarely leave the cave if they do since they do not like heat and wide open areas.

LinkNo one has found a solution on how to kill these creatures and this has caused worry for anyone living anywhere near the cave. The general time needed to have a person completely lose any sense of who they were will usually take about 25-30 years which is also about the amount of time needed to get them to become completely blind. Over time they will have more crystals grow over them until they are not able to move and are just a pile of crystal and until then will go through many changes such as gaining elongated limbs and large hands and feet.
