(Ok) Velvet: “V-Void....” she whispered quietly “Please tell me that’s not a bloody crowbar”

-a crowbar with thick dark red liquid lay in front of Velvet in the grass-

Velvet trembled, holding back tears. She quietly picked up the heavy crowbar, and wiped off the blood with some leaves. She heaved it up and attempted carrying it. “W-well, we have a weapon to defend ourselves now at least...”

She continued crawling, and eventually reached an alleyway where she could hear voices coming from inside an old building. She stood up, noting how they were all inside and there weren’t any windows nearby. She tried picking up the crowbar, but she couldn’t. (She was dragging it beside her when she was crawling)

Velvet: “Please be careful if we go in there. I don’t want you to get hurt”

(Sorry, internets really slow for me)

Velvet: “But they probably have knives and guns and all sorts of things, and if they see you with a weapon, they’re going to attack you!” -she said in a frantic whisper, grabbing hold of his arm in worry and looking up at him-

Velvet: “B-But they most likely are going to overlook me! They’re gonna have their eyes on you!”

Velvet gulped, wondering how dangerous these people will be

Velvet: “I-I sure hope we’ll be....” -she giggled nervously, an da started making her way to the door. She looked through the mail flap near the bottom of the door, and saw 7 large male brutes holding an unconscious woman hostage. Velvet held back a scream, and gave out a small, quiet squeak. She quickly returned to Void.

Velvet: “Look. They’re armed.... we have to use something more than the crowbar”

Velvet: “M-Magic...?”

Velvet: “W-Woah!” -insert adorably ambitious face- “That’s so cool!”

Velvet: “I really hope so-“ -she was interrupted by the door slamming open. Velvet stared at the huge tattooed man with terrified eyes, paralyzed with fear-

Velvet: “V-V-Void....?”” -she whimpered quietly. She drifted her hand towards him-

(Eeek sorry I was gone lol) Velvet hid behind Void, shaking intensely

Velvet: "I-It's about time you use t-that c-crowbar now..."

The large brute reached for Velvet, pushing Void out of the way. “Why hello there, little lady. Aren’t you a cutie?” he rasped as he grabbed her by her hair

(Lol) Velvet squirmed in his clutches as hot tears ran down her face The man said “Ok. I’ll put her down.” The man threw her to the ground, and Velvet hit her head hard on the concrete, knocking her close to unconscious

The man whipped his cigarette out of his mouth and pressed it’s burning surface onto Void on his nose. “How that feel, tiny?” he laughed. Velvet lie there, trying to inch away, struggling to stay awake with shallow breathing

"Guess by hurting her, it hurts you. Such a pitiful person you are... she looks so terrified. Such a scared little fox." he mocked him, dropping the dead cigarette onto Velvet. She was bleeding from her forehead and her cheek, and her hair was ruffled from the man grabbing her.

Velvet whispered weakly to Void "G-Go... g-go s-save y-y-yours-self...."

The man drifted his hand to his pocket where a sheathed blade was visible. “You wanna go, tiny?”

Velvet tried getting up, her head fuzzy and nauseous. Blood matted her hair and stained the ground. “S-Stop! L-l-leave him a-alone...!” She crippled back to the ground, coughing.

The man suddenly slashed out, poising his blade right onto Voids throat. He clench his hand that was grabbing him, forgetting he wielded a crowbar

Although the man was tough, he was wincing hard at the burning

Velvet grabbed onto the mans leg shakily, and tried her hardest to pull him down. This only made him throw his head up in laughter, and giving Void a chance for either fight or flight

The man screamed in agony as he fell to the ground in pain. This alarmed the other men in the room. Velvet had drifted in unconsciousness. (Sorry for late response, I got sidetracked)

The men came out, larger and more muscular than the last. One of them took out a smaller blade and threw it into the fallen mans throat. The burned man screamed in agony as he was struck with a bullet. The man who had threw a knife at him spoke “You won’t be of any more use, Char”

(That took a hot second to type lmao)

The man with the gun chuckled “So. You took down our little Char? Why, you will be a thorn in our thumbs, wontcha?” He looked at his crowbar. “Such a weak little tool.... ah, and who’s that behind you I see? Don’t think you can hide them....”

“Take ‘em both inside.” he suddenly ordered his men. They grabbed both of them, being sure to take Void by the forearms strongly and tossing the crowbar. They dragged Velvet by the tag less collar she wore as if she was a stray dog.

The men ignored him as their leader (guy with the gun) made a quick signal, causing the men dragging Velvet to threaten to hurt her. Her small, delicate body was dragged aggressively as she was scraped against the cement

The ringleader chuckled as they entered a decent sized room with weathered brick walls and a strong scent of blood. The ringleader spoke “Shackle up the dog. May or may not go rabid when she wakes up” He glances at Void. “Cage this one. He can watch what’ll happen to the dog”

“Nothin’ better than the sweet sound of screams. Music to my ears” His men threw Void into a large dog cage where he could hardly move. They shackled Velvet, chaining her collar like a leash.

(I should go to bed, it’s way late for me. Cya tomorrow, hopefully!)

The man chuckled with his hoarse voice “Ya know, by hurting yourself it’ll only inflict more on your girlfriend over here” He gestured to Velvet, chained by her collar.

The man chuckled “Either way, you are gonna see bad things happen to her” The men left the room, leaving Void and Velvet alone

Velvet lay limp on the cold stone floor, but after a few moments her eyes fluttered open “V-void...? Gah....” -she winced hard at her gashed head. She looked around them with fear

Velvet: “W-Where are we?” She looked at chains on her collar, tugging at them

Velvet: “Why are you in a cage? You are the one that has to get out-!” -she suddenly wailed in agony at her arm. She looked at him with a desperate expression on her face, with tears streaming down her face

Velvet writhed in the chains “No! You have a life to go back to! Y-You c-can’t.... *sniff* you can’t stay here!”

Velvet could just be able to grab the bars in struggle “I need to help you free....”

Velvet: “I-I’m never ever gonna leave without you! I g-got you into this mess, so I’m going to get you out of it!” She bit her lip, holding back heavy sobbing.

Velvet didn’t care about the chains being broken. “I’m not leaving without you Void! We hardly even know each other that well And you’re being such a nice person to me!”

Velvet started squeezing herself between the bars, her small body slinking with ease

(Ima be gone for about 10 minutes)

(Quicker than I thought lol-) Velvet hugged him once she slipped through completely, warming him with her thick, soft tail. “It’s ok, Void. We’re gonna make it out....”She hugged him firmly, giving him as much comfort as she could.

Velvet released him after a while of silent crying, and put her hands on her hips. “Bend down”

Velvet said it again, acting a bit more in control “Bened down!” She did that adorably ambitious face again (sorry about late response, I went to bed)

Velvet looked at him dead in the eye, serious as ever. Then patted his head.

Velvet ruffled his hair. “I’m going to get you out of here whether you like it or not”

Velvet nodded, and blinked hard when a drop of blood from the gash in her head dripped into her eye (sorry I keep disappearingggg hhhh homework getting me good)

Velvet: “T-Thank you. Sorry your pants are ripped now...”

Velvet looked away, flustered, then slipped out of the cage. She searched around the bare room, and found a shovel in the corner of the room. “Aha! Perfect!” She smiled as she held the shovel in front of her

Velvet chuckled “You’ll see!”

Velvet continued searching, only being able to go so far because of her collar chains

Velvet obediently went over to Void “Yeah?”

“Ok” Velvet nodded, and scampered off to find more supplies. She found a rock and the lower half of a key. She gasped.

“I-I found the key! At least half of it! We can release the padlock now!” She quickly started scraping the rock against the shovel, sharpening it. She took the half off the key and unlocked Voids cage, passing him the sharpened shovel.

Velvet: “Since SOMEONE couldn’t attack with the crowbar, maybe you could try a shovel!”

Velvet giggled, stuffing her face in her paws. She looked up at Void “I’m just messing with you!”

Velvet suddenly went silent, her face flushing into bright red “T-T-Thank y-you” She turned her head away, trying to hide her embarrassment

“F-funny j-joke and all, but we should get out of here..” She started walking away

Velvet gulped, shaking her head “H-Happy Opposite Day, then!” She felt a chill down her spine at the thought of his nervously flirtatious attitude.

Velvet rushed to help him, holding him by the forearm and his shoulder. “A-Are you okay?!”

She held him like this and then noticed how she was holding him. Her face turned bright red “E-Eh?” She released him quickly but gently “I-I’m so s-so sorry Void! I won’t do it again, I swear I just wasn’t thinking and I tried to help but I grabbed you weirdly and I’m so so so so sorry! I’ll do whatever you want, please forgive me!

Velvet kept a distance from him for a while, embarrassed. Her large, fluffy tail slightly brushed against Voids leg.

She turned back to him after a few minutes, her heart throbbing hard as she bit her lip and mustered up enough courage to face him. She had been. Trying to tone down her hard blush, but it only got heavier. “W-We should w-wait for them to come in so we c-could ambush them”

“B-Bu.... never mind, what do you think we should do?” She looked up at him, looking like a tiny teenager beside a large man

Velvet nodded, shrinking away from him slightly. "O-Ok" she murmured softly. Her lip started quivering, fearing what will happen. The door knob suddenly creaked, signaling someone was entering the room. Velvet gave a sudden jump into Voids arms, fearing the person entering.

(ack, sorry, i went to bed again) She trembled hard as the door creaked open. The ringleader from earlier with a large escort made their way inside the room. The ringleader chuckled. "Is our little dog trying to get away? We wouldn't want that..." The ringleader grabbed onto Velvet by her collar, tearing her from Void's grasp. In the same split second, he threw her to the wall where her broken chains were.

Velvet thumped hard on the ground with a yelp. She turned her head to Void, her expression terrified as she screamed “Void, no, behind you!”

The large brute stood before him, taking hold of his left shoulder. He rumbled deeply “Where you headed off to?” The smaller ringleader chuckled “Oh, I guess the mutt needs a better cage. And our little kitten needs another leash! Maybe out of little mutt’s reach, though”

The small ringleader gave a hearty laugh. “What a persistent young man! I know just what to to! Michael, released him.” The two men released Void and Velvet.

“Just put you both in a little game!” The man chuckled. “Both of you will be in this room. There’s been cameras in here, and let me just say it was quite amusing watching you both attempt escape. You will fight each other until someone, well, dies. If nobody dies within two hours, you watch the little kitten get tortured! How’s that sound?”

Velvet glanced at Void, horrified. She shuddered at the thought of such a sweet man violently murdering her....

“Either way, she’ll die. She obviously doesn’t want to kill you “

(Ack sorry mr ringleader dude said that)

The man gave a sly smirk to him. “Yes, tiny?”

The man didn’t move, nor even flinching at Void’s aggressive behavior. His grin widened as the hand mark on his face dissolved, leaving no trace of any attack. “Aw, buddy! If only I had normal skin that would hurt more!”

“I guess we should start then!” The man lead his escort to the exit, and the metal panel lifted to show hard plastic for spectating them. The door closed behind them as they both sat down. The man smiled at Void, telling them both to start.

Velvet stared at Void’s strong body in terror, afraid of his ability

Velvet wasn’t focused, only scared of everything happening. She stared at his scarred face. She was trembling with fear, her wings tucked tightly and tail bristling

(Ok!) Velvet shakily hugged him back, blankly mumbling softly and quietly into his chest “We’re going to die here, aren’t we...?”

Velvet hugged him tighter, her grasp clamping around his waist. “I-I’m s-so sorry....”

After a long moment of silence, a voice came from an intercom on the ceiling. The ringleader spoke “Enough mourning, start inflicting pain upon each other” Velvet gulped, and whispered with a dreaded voice “j-just d-do it....”

Velvet stopped moving, stopped squeezing, stopped breathing for a moment. She stepped back to look at him. “I-..... I d-don’t know what t-to....” Velvet suddenly broke down sobbing, crippling to the ground.

She hesitantly inches forward to him, biting her lip. Her black leather collar hung around her neck, loose and large, making her seem like a timid kitten

Void: I'll die before I let them hurt you. we need to get out of here.

She raised her shaking paws to his broad shoulders. “V-Void... I... I’m s-still really sorry...” She leaned closer into him, getting nearer to his face (Casually disappears into sleep)

Void: I don't blame you for any of this. (gnnnnnn)

Velvet protested him frantically “B-But because of m-my curiosity, one of us will die! If not one, then both of us!” She thrusted herself forward frantically, her face getting inches away from his

Void: I'd rather it be me that you *whispers*

Velvet looked into his face, her eyes overwhelmed with tears. “N-No! I-I won’t let that h-happen!”

Void: well I cant let you die. I-i have an idea,for both of us to live but it might not work

(afk for about an hour ;-;)

(Ok!) Velvet paused, biting her lip in silence. "W-What is it...?"

Void:.... they might be listening, and it's best a surprise.

Velvet trembled a bit “O-Ok then”

(Ok! That’s perfectly fine!) Velvet fumbled with her paws, flustered. “D-Did you really m-mean it....?” She looked away from him, her face becoming red

Velvet stepped further away from him. “A-As if...” She chuckled as she wiped away her tears

(Sorry for disappearing lmao)

Velvet choked “T-That’s what I’m afraid of... because I do feel the same....” she sobbed. She calmed herself down after a few moments, and stepped closer to Void. “I-I’m so sorry...” She looked up at him, her expression filled with guilt and sorrow

She clung to his shirt, hesitating. She started to raise herself onto her toes, pulling him down a bit to give him a small peck on his cheek, her tag-less collar bouncing on her chest.

Velvet looked at her hind paws like a guilty puppy “S-Sorry, I w-wasn’t thinking”

She looked up back to him in shock “B-But.... s-still, it was without consent....”

She looked up at him, still on her toes and grasping his shirt. She could feel his warm breath on her lips as they stood there. The intercom suddenly blasted again “Well, you have two hours, and I’m now giving you two options.”

Velvet clung onto him closer, spooked by the man’s sudden speech. “Void Darkmoon, either you kill her or.... .... rape her” He chuckled with amusement. “We decided we didn’t want to do the dirty work, so you do it instead!” Velvet had started shaking in fear, glancing up at him in silence

The man chuckled, leaning into his microphone. “A lot is wrong with me, am I wrong? And, we just skimmed through your personal identification files, and we now know who you are.”

“For now, just focus on your duty. Be the first to pop that woman’s cherry.” Smirking, he leaned closer to the window pane “You were just kissing her earlier anyways. Shouldn’t be a problem”

“So you have chosen her long, painful death? Where shall we start.... cutting out her ears? Tearing off her toes? Ripping out her kneecaps?” He gave an expression that seemed to show he was acknowledging the idea

“Rape her” he said simply, resting his head on his hands as they planted themselves on the table

“It only hurts her if you are rough with her. She may just be obedient with you....” he chuckled

“Bah, don’t be ridiculous. You guys were just kissing. You have two hours, so at least try to get into a mood. Best I can do to help while still being entertained” he grinned at Void

“Oh? You want me to rape her then? Because I’m known to be your rough with my prey~” he looked at Velvet maliciously. Velvet flinched, huddling closer to Void. “E-Even if you do... p-please be gentle....”

“Ah, but I want my turn first. Let’s see the small one without such annoyingly cluttered clothing on” the ringleader chuckled. “Then I will fight you”

The ringleader pulled out his phone and took a picture of Void protecting Velvet. He chuckled, and spoke calmly “Ok then. I’ll fight you. If I win, you will be forced to rape her. Unless one of these big men want to do it as you are forced to watch....” he grinned slyly

“Maybe you shouldn’t go exploring alleyways next time.” He laughed and started walking to the entrance to the confinement area. (If I disappear, I have gone to sleep)

“Y-You w-w-won’t die.... he said he would make you watch me get....” She trailed off, afraid to continue as the ringleader stepped in. “Attack me” he said simply. He was so calm this whole time

The ringleader fell, but his sly smile stayed as he was scratched and clawed at. Nothing seemed to penetrate his skin. While Void was furiously distracted, the escort snuck in and grabbed Velvet. Velvet yelped as she was held up with a knife poised at her throat.

(Mk I’m off, gn!)

(Alas, we meet again ^^) “Tut tut tut, go after her and she’ll have a nice, deep gash in her throat” The man smiled as he stood up. “Is it my turn to attack?” He smirked. Velvet stared after Void frantically. “V-Void! B-Be careful! A-And be s-smart about w-what you’re doing!”

The man held up his pistol “Hm... I won’t kill you.... just mildly injure you” He pointed it at Void, aiming for his ankles and wrists. “This may hurt a bit”

The man shot at him, the bullet catching fire as it left the barrel. It was aimed for Void's wrist, but it didn't hit him. Instead, it hit Velvet in her right shoulder after she slipped out of the mans grasp. She bit back a scream of agony, a small squeak escaping her mouth as she fell to the cold concrete floor

She lay there, limp in shock. The large man even seemed to be surprised she escaped. The ringleader seemed unfazed. “Ah, that was our ticket to fun.... oh well. Toss her” He waved his hand, turning around to dismiss himself as his view was averted away, making him completely vulnerable to any attack. He also seemed to not be as aware in this situation

The ringleader coughed hard, confused and stunned. He crippled to the ground, confused and without any protection. While Void was busy, Velvet was being dragged away by the second man as blood streaked across the floor

The ringleader fell in shock, and hit his head hard on the ground, falling unconscious. The large man held up Velvet in between him and Void, putting Velvet in the way of his attack. Velvet stared in weak shock, her face glazed with terror.

The man chuckled hoarsely "And if I don't?" The large cigarette in his mouth dripped ash onto the ground and Velvet's hair as she braced herself in fear in the mans grasp

The man smiled, and dropped Velvet. "Ok." He raised his hands, still grinning. He kicked Velvet further away as she groaned in pain.

Velvet fell into his arms, subconscious. The man yelled in surprise as he fell to the ground, ripping out his dagger

“Aw, saving your little damsel in distress? Too bad the knight in shining armor never won the battle!” He advanced onto Void. “I don’t care if I die, I’m just doing his dirty work” He motioned towards the unconscious ringleader. “Ever since we all escaped that asylum”

“Yeah, had a bunch of impulsive roommates. I liked the mattress walls the most....”

The man suddenly flung the dagger towards Velvet, aiming for her small legs

The dagger stopped midair, the man looking at Void intently. “Pathetic” The dagger turned around and stabbed the man in the throat, blood splattering onto Void and Velvet

The exit was open. The two men were dead. Obviously, the other brutes weren’t present, or else they would have come downstairs. Velvet lie on the ground, scarcely breathing

“G-Gah!” She yelped in pain. She trembled, her bullet wound staining her shirt

Velvet nodded, obediently going lomp

“A-Ah!” She winced, but didn’t move. She allowed him to take out the bullet.

Some more blood spurted out, but most of it was clotted. Her shirt was starting to mat onto her wound. Velvet started to sit up, regaining strength

“W-Wait, your f-foot...” Velvet gasped

“B-but...” She looked at him. She turned her back again, hesitant. Blood was starting to mix with the dirt on her shirt.

She winced. “T-the exit is wide open. Go while you can” she murmured. She trembled, watching him wrap her shoulder (I have to go to bed. Gn!)

She started to stagger up, wobbling as she tried to stand. Her legs were shaking. They suddenly gave way as she fell into Void. She squeaked with surprise

“O-Ok. I trust you” She nodded. “S-sorry for falling on you” She started to scoot away guiltily

She glanced at his scarred foot, wincing. “I w-won’t” She looked up at him, staring into his eyes “So, who are these friends you were talking about?” She tilted her head a little, her ears flopping sideways

"T-They're nice, r-right..?" Her lip quivered a bit as she stared up worriedly in his lap

She nodded subtly, scooting off of him. “Ah... sorry if that made you... u-uncomfortable.” She forced a weak smile

She turned to him, her face becoming red “O-Oh, w-well, that’s g-good t-then! B-but it obviously wouldn’t be comfortable” She looked flustered.

“D-Don’t s-say such a l-lie” she shook her head in denial as she lunges into his chest to hide her expression

“You make it sound like we’re more than friends” She said, her voice muffled in his shirt

“You are the one that matters more in the situation!” She looked up at him, her face still bright red

“Yeah! You are the one with super cool powers, and you are half elf, and you have friends, not to mention you are super nice and strong!” She climbed him, pushing him downwards “You’re so nice, you turned down that creepy dudes command to rape me-“ The last sentence slipped out, and she covered her mouth I’m guilty shock

“Y-you still matter a lot! You have a life ahead of you, yet I’m stuck in a low apartment and working in my flower shop!” She presses his chest down further to the ground while sitting atop him, her legs around his waist

“Even so,that doesn’t make a difference! And why on Earth do you look like an overgrown tomato?” She tilted her head, bringing her head down a bit to analyze his face

(Oh why thank you :) ) Velvet leaned closer, resting her head on his chest. She yawned, groggily hugging his broad shoulders softly

“Void, if we are going to escape I think we should do it now” she sat up, rubbing her tired eyes as she slipped off of him. Her shoulder had been hurting badly the entire time, but she ignored the pain so Void wouldn’t worry. As she slipped of him, she winced slightly

“Y-you weren’t supposed to notice that...” she muttered to herself, standing

“...” she suddenly seemed to be avoiding him, whenever he would come near she either turned away or stepped away

“I-I- yes, I’m fine” she nodded her head, still facing away from him as she limped towards the exit

She wobbled into a cold, dark corridor that had the lingering scent of blood stained on the floor

She reached her paw out for the wall, accidentally touching Voids waist.

Finding the wall, she held her paw up to it. She swung her tail towards Void. “Hold on to me so you won’t get lost”

She gave a small jolt with a slight blush at him taking it, but she continued to walk

They reached a large room, with the exit on one end and another confinement room on the other. Clearly, the screaming that was heard inside was from the woman before

“I-I’ll go get her. You get out of here” She nudged him towards the exit, starting to go towards the door

“I’ll be right there anyways, just go!” She pushed him a bit harder with a tiny grunt

“Yes you will Void” she said straightforwardly. “I promise, I’ll be right there, just go. Run. I’ll meet you at the gas station right around the corner” she looked up at him, tears of pain swelling in her eyes

“I promise” she hugged her, letting out a tiny sniff as her eyes squeezed shut, holding back sobs.

(OH STUPID SPELLCHECK) “Now go! Meet me at the gas station, just run!” She turned him around and pushed him towards the doorway. “If you don’t see me in the next ten minutes, I’m probably dead. But don’t focus on that, focus on running away”

Velvet stared at where he had left, but quickly turned to the door with the lady. She opened the door, grabbing a knife that was on a table nearby. She quickly mumbled to herself encouraging as she cut through the duct tape where she was held down on the chair

Working quickly, she cut the last strip of tape. Pulling the tires but scared woman out of the chair, they both limped out of the room. “T-thank you...” she whispered hoarsely to Velvet. Stumbling out of the building, they both were relieved to breath fresh air again

“V-Void, you should be at the gas station, what are you doing?!” She choked out in surprise, tripping over the gravel in shock. She stumbled to the ground with a surprised squeak

“Y-Yes you could! You had to!” She lifted her head shakily, weakly wincing at her wounded shoulder

(Omfg I found this while skimming through a bunch of stuff and it made me laugh so hard lmao)

“You had to! You would’ve been safer a-and I told you I’d be there...!” She was shaking, staggering up from the gravel with her shoulder hit with an overwhelming amount of pain.

“B-but... still.... you....!” She struggled for words as she began to choke on hard sobs. Sobs of pain, confusion, guilt, and worry.

She nodded silently, looking down.

“I-I’ll make it, don’t worry” She started limping back towards the park, her silhouette looking crippled and worn from the wounds she was given.

When they rounded the corner out of the alleyway, there were police in the park investigating where the shots were fired. One of them saw Void and Velvet, calling them out.

Two of the policemen approached them, armed. Velvet, trembling, backed behind Void, afraid

Velvet hesitated, but nodded subtly. The officers walked up to them, armed. “If you could please hold your hands up, and nobody’ll get hurt” Velvet shivered behind Void, holding back sobs, silent tears streaming down her face

“Put your hands up!” he yelled at Velvet. Velvet jumped back, holding her hands up in fear

The police officer lowered his firearm, the second one beside him speaking into his walkie talkie. “We need an ambulance at 982 Cande Avenue, copy” The first officer came towards them as Velvet gripped Voids abdomen gently

The officer nearest to them, their tag labeled ‘Dickens’ (pFFt), grabbed Velvet, tearing her away from Void. “Get your hands up!” he yelled. Velvet winced, the blood that was at last clotting being torn open again.

(pshaW) The police glared furiously at Void, “That doesn’t change anything” he half yelled at him. (Yeah, ya can have the po po guy)

“The paramedics are already on their way, so until they are here, I’m not gonna give a shit and just do my job, buddy” the officer argued. The second police was giving them a sympathetic expression, but he couldn’t intervene with his partner or else he’d be in quite some trouble. His tag was labeled with Marshall.

The second one, Marshall, stepped forward, “John, stop. It’s our job to protect them, not hurt them.” He stood in between Void, Velvet, and ‘Dickens’

Ambulances pulled into the park, the police gesturing them to go towards Void and Velvet. John grumbled, briskly stomping back to the group of police. Marshall glanced at the two again, then followed. The ambulances stopped in front of them as they gently pulled them into the vehicle

The woman who was tugging Void hesitated, but after a moment smirked. “Ha, take your time”

Velvet watched them intently, ignoring the man that was nudging her into the ambulance

Velvet pulled away from the poor guy who was trying to stuff her in the ambulance because it was his job, stepping towards them. “I-is there something wrong, sir...?”, she asked timidly

“... V-Void...?” She sounded hurt when the officer mention him going into custody. Before she could say anything else, the irritated guy lifted her with one strong arm, carrying her into the ambulance. “Alright, feisty. In you go”, he put her onto the stretcher-bed-thingy

Velvet stared after him, her expression filled with pain. Tears started to well up in her eyes as the doors shut

(Ig I’ll be Marshall. He will be in the front passengers) Marshall looked back at Void wistfully, his expression sorry.

Marshall turned back around to face the other police officer that had cuffed him. “So, what did he do exactly?””

“Oh.... makes sense” He leaned back in his seat, blinking. Glancing up to the rear view mirror, he spotted Void slouching in his seat.

The police car passed by the ambulance with Velvet inside, watching Void as he was being driven away.
