In my opinion, the site loves averageness and mediocrity. Everyone loves to play pretend and say they're edgy and love gore, but that gore is just people with blood on them. They love monsters that are people with black eyes and fangs. But if they see something actually outside the norm, something with though and passion and skill, it's weird, or it's cool but not popular. Take 120tea. Her art goes from in the norm, where everyone praises it for being a bit idd, to outside it, and everyone tries to make it into the norm by trying to relate it to something they know.
