Link"Just talk it out with her. Ask if there's anything you can do." He blinks at an apples and it starts to have bites taken out of it.
He nods and blinks as the applesauce dissapears. "Tasty. Go on, have a seat."
"How did you eat it like that??" Cakey stared at him with a confused look
"You're a bit of a strange guy to be a therapist,,no offense of course. i don't really know what's on my mind right now, it feels too quiet in my head." Cakey was trying to be careful with what it was saying, not knowing how things would go
"Well, I hear that alot. I shall listen to whatever you wanna say." He starts doodling.
"What are you doing on there??" Cakey tries to peek at what he's doing "I don't really know who I am , you know??"
He stops doodling. "Are you saying you feel out of touch with yourself and your identity?"
Cakey sits back and stares at its feet "Well, yeah. I have for years. I often forget everything about myself, including the important details like my name and birthday. I feel like this body isn't mine and I'm just invading this person's body and life. It feels unfamiliar to me despite me always being in it. Sometimes i can't even move because how it just doesn't feel like mine." Cakey looks up at him and just stares, paying close attention to his rather unique features
He writes something down. "Maybe try creating an alter ego for yourself, It might help to try to be the kind of person you want to be rather than what you are."
"What are you writing down?? And I don't know the type of person I want to be either. I don't know what I like or what I wanna do." Cakey's once again trying to peek at what he's doing without alarming him
He flips the clipboard to show his doodles of eyes and apples. "Okay, Lets start by finding you a new name! What name do you think fits you the most?"
"You're a very nice artist. Although, I don't think I want a different name. I don't know what fits me. I guess the name that'd fit me the most would be the name I was given, you know?" Cakey smiled nervously
He nods and goes back to doodling. "What kind of person to you admire?"
He looks at her awkwardly. "I don't know how to respond to that... Ha ha ha. Maybe try presenting some traits your partner has?"
"I do. I even like their interests and match their opinions. I always mirror people unintentionally and it makes me forget about myself." Cakey bites its fingertips and chews on the dead skin
Wally hums slightly. "Well..." He sets his clipboard down. "Maybe try not to push yourself so hard."
"I don't do it intentionally. I don't really know how to stop it at all. What are you humming??"
"how the heck do i tell my parents im a therian??? i dont know how they'd feel if they saw their child on fours making wolf noises um..."
He smiles gently. "Try introducing them to the subject first, see how they feel about it. If they are approving ask how they would feel if you are a therian."
"cuz i tried telling my brother and all he said was 'you need to fix that you'll never get a boyfriend that way' i never even said anything about a boyfriend i dont care and it hurts because being a therian is something i cant fix i was born that way and now i feel like i need to hide my identity" :[
His eye twitches. "Tell them. They should accept you as you are, and for your idiot of a brother, punch him." He clears his throat. "You should feel confident being who you are, you are meant to be this way."
((that actually did happen my brother was saying stuff like that he was not supportive of it at all))
i guess i could try..even though being a therian or opening up to people about it without getting rude comments or possibly death threats if its on the internet isnt really easy...
"Stand up to them. They don't have the right to do things like that."
