My real question is more like "Why aren't the popular user popular for their good animations?"
Like, TPS is alright at drawing, and she has some good anims, but that doesn't seem to be why she's popular. It more seems to be her positivity and the way she acts so ****ing nice to everyone. So much so that, at times, it just seems fake to me. That's a different rant for another time.
Or Randomperson, who makes funny anims and is pretty good at drawing, but that doesn't seem to be why she's popular either, it's her "realability" and stuiff that seems most liked.
Or other examples I can't think of.
I guess It'sMartin is an exception, but it just irritates me knowing that there are such sycophantic users on here.

LinkIt may be that they were on Flipanim longer? I don’t know. Honestly, I came on this site for animation only, but I grew lazy and kind of lost my interest in it at one point. So, that’s why I haven’t done any animations recently. I’m trying to BE PRODUCTIVE AND DO ANIMATIONS but hnnnnngh.

ITS MAINLY BECAUSE THEY COMMENT ON STUFF AND THEY GET NOTICED BECAUSE THE COMMENT SO MUCH. They can be found on almost any featured post and then users will click on them because they see their usernames everywhere. Its like propoganda. ItsMartin is just an animation GOD so he is the exception. THE MORE YOU COMMENT the more attention you get.
Finally, someone asks this. I actually hate that some users are popular for other reasons than drawing.
Okay I might sound like a hypocrite and shit by saying this
But sometimes I get mad when a popular user gets like 3
78 likes on some thing, like a doodle that has no shading or commitment whatsoever, and when someone who actually took time into adding color and shading gets 6 likes.
Like I feel bad for the small animators who get nothing for something they are so proud in
Like Jesus can people actually pay attention to them instead of liking an animation that has one line on It? Jfc
