LinkHi I’m Natalie. Natalie Green. Child of a dad who owns a giant business and a mom who is almost always pregnant. Now my mom doesn’t like my grandmother, Phoebe. My mom says my dad’s mom and her family go way back, even when my mom was born. Phoebe says my mom’s only trouble and just a young one without a brain. My mom and dad have a 10 year age difference which causes Phoebe to wonder if my mom just wants my dad’s wealth. But this story is about what changed between my grandmother and my mom that made my grandma change her mind about her.
One day after school my mom picked me and my friend Malcom up like always. We had to make a stop at the pharmacy before she dropped us off at our piano class. We pulled into a parking spot and got out of the car.
“Now you can walk around together but be careful,” my mom said walking inside with us.
I watched my mom head over to the pregnancy pain section and Malcolm grabbed a buggy.
“What’s that for?” I asked curiously walking over.

Link “I wonder if you can still fit in the baby seat?” He said staring at the small toddler seat in the cart.
I, fourteen, climbed in the seat and sat there. Malcolm grabbed the handle and ran around the store. We laughed and had so much fun. Malcolm and I had thought about dating before but my mom isn’t sure about it.
“I think I’m stuck!” I said trying to climb out but about to laugh.
“Aye I’ll help ya out,” He said grabbing my hand.
The second he touched my hand I felt like this is what I want to do. He helped me climb out and we met my mom at the front of the store. She was checking out. I watched as the cashier, Ash, scanned the items. Malcolm and I went outside and sat on a bench.
“I really like you,” he said.
“I feel the sa-” I said stopping when my mom walked outside.
We all got in the car and drove to piano practice. Malcolm and I got out of the car when we got there. Right when we got out my mom got a phone call and we heard her yelling.

Link’t let Natalie do whatever she wants!” My mom yelled.
Malcolm shrugged his shoulders and we walked inside the studio.
“How ‘bout we skip class and do what we want?” Malcolm asked grabbing my hand after my mom drove away. I nodded and smiled. Wonder if he’ll bring me to his cousins’ music studio, I thought.
“Where are we going?” I asked knowing where we were going.
“The music studio! If you want to get this song recorded we have to go!” Malcolm said grabbing his music bag.
We stole Michelle and Bryan’s bikes and rode to the music studio.
“How are they going to feel about their bikes being stolen?” I asked getting off the bike and unfastening my bag.
“They know. I told them at school that we’d use them,” Malcolm said.
We walked into hear a recording of Charlie playing his electric guitar. Charlie was in a horrible car accident that caused him to be paralyzed. I was in the car, but thankfully I wasn’t hurt.
