The closest I can imagine to this is when I woke up one night, and my brain forgot my brother was alive, and made me think he was murdered. I woke up sobbing thinking my brother was dead, I couldnt imagine being like that for a long time. Just know this isn't your fault and we all love you, and I bet your friend, wherever they are now, loves you too.
