Mike Regan started off as an ordinary boy growing up. His mother was a rocket scientist and his father was an advanced engineer. Mike usually felt very stressed during school, haunted by high expectations of himself. One day, when Mike's class took a field trip to his mother's work, Mike accidentally stumbled into a large missile silo. He got stuck down there for days, weeks, until he was waken by a loud explosion. The missile exploded.

50 years later, Mike found himself in a large field. This field was where the missile launch facility used to be. Mike had no idea where he was, as he had permanently lost his vision. Later finding out that he was aging very slowly and that his parents were dead, Mike lived by himself in a cave for a year. Angry and confused, Mike discovered that he had powers to create nuclear blasts. 4 years later, Mike was discovered by a crazy bionic scientist who wants his nuclear powers. Mike still tries to run away from this man today, protecting cities around the globe from the scientist's wild inventions.
