LinkSnakekit was buzzing with nervous excitement. He and his sister, Faithkit, were going to be made apprentices. Faithkit nudged him "c'mon, let's go get something from the fresh-kill pile you lazy fur ball." Snakekit stood up and followed her out of the nursery. He looked around the SnakeClan camp. Part of the camp was underground in ancient tunnels and the other part was in the forest. The nursery, the elders den, and the medicine cat den were in the tunnels, along with extra dens for warriors and apprentices. He walked by the elder's den and followed a tunnel above ground. He took in a breath of fresh air and saw the apprentices training together. Faithkit smiled and told Snakekit "that will be us soon!" Snakekit couldn't wait to be an apprentice. He and his sister were always practicing fighting moves in the nursery until their mother told them to go outside. Snakekit walked to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a mouse. Linkthrough his full mouth. Faithkit's eyes brightened and she finished her fresh-kill. Snakekit was just finishing his mouse when Lionstar stepped onto the Great Rock. "May all cats able to leave the tunnels come to the Great Rock." Snakekit turned to his sister, his long, snakelike tail twitching with excitement. Once the cats filled in the area, Snakekit and Faithkit walked to Lionsatr as he announced "Today we come together to celebrate two new apprentices." he looked at Faithkit. "Come forward" Faithkit walked up and sat down infant of Lionstar. "Form this day on, until she gets her warrior name, she will be known as Faithpaw." Her eyes glowed with excitement. Lionstar looked at the crowd of cats. "Acornnose, I think it is time you are ready for your first apprentice. You were trained by Brighttail, and I expect you to pass down his training to your new apprentice." Acornnose looked surprised that she was having an apprentice and walked over to Faithpaw. Linkmentor. Lionstar looked over to Snakekit. "Come forward" Snakekit did as he said. "This apprentice will now be known as Snakepaw until he gets his warrior name." Snakepaw was filled with pride. He was an apprentice! "Stonetail, you mentored Brakenear extremely well, I hope you give your new apprentice the same training you gave him." Stonetail nodded and walked over to Snakepaw. Snakepaw stood up and touched noses with Stonetaill. He was filled with joy, he and his sister could finally train to become warriors. "Faithpaw! Snakepaw! Faithpaw! Snakepaw!" the clan chanted. Snakepaw looked at his sister and they shared a smile. Once the ceremony was over, instead of going back underground to sleep in the nursery, the new apprentices moved to the apprentice den. Antpaw greeted them. "Hello! Those can be your nests." He showed them some empty nests. "Now c'mon, it's late, you should get some sleep, you're gonna start your training tomorrow."
