LinkYeah some of the character designs in Aladdin were actually inspired by the movie. The Thief and The Cobbler began development in the 60s, but it was finished in 1993. Due to the long production time many animators who worked on The Thief and The Cobbler also worked on Aladdin and borrowed some of the design elements from The Thief and the Cobbler.
