UhH, well, my words most likely aren't the best to really take in for learning about art stuff so keep that in mind, hehe twt;;
My inspiration is honestly just seeing other work and thinking, "huh, I wanna do something like that!" So, as for Seila, I'm pretty sure it's thanks to seeing Mipha from BotW and just how pretty and adorable she is :>

(I watch a lot of Gacha stuff =w= some of the actually good mini movies and series people make with gacha is another inspiration UwU)
As for creature design... uhh.. don't take me too seriously with this xD I don't do creature design very much, so I'm of course not all that good at all twt;;
Really, I sort of just took a human and kept sticking on animal features until I decided I was happy with it, trying to avoid it just being a human but with wings, or a human but with a fish tail =w=
