Sharlet Imiku, a young woman who farms for a living in the small village of Uraka. She falls in love with a metal worker and has a son who they name Peiko. She loves him dearly and spends every breathing day with him. One day, when Peiko was 8 years old, their village was raided and burned. In a desperate attempt to save her only son, Sharlet sacrifices her life as Peiko watches from afar. After that day, Peiko lived his life petrified by the thought of those raiders coming back. He went the rest of his teen years working hard and not sparing any drip of his life. All the sweat and tears that went into his work wouldn't go to waste, he thought. No matter what the costs, he wanted to make his mother proud.
