Ok listen. You're a friend to me on this website, so I don't want to argue with you, but....I must defend team books. Brace yourself.
Debunking:
1. I STRONGLY disagree that reading is boring, but you did say that was an opinion, so I won't fight over that.
2. However, you saying that watching a movie ADAPTATION of an already existing book gives you more information is something I absoulutley can NOT let slide. We may get more information from the real world from seeing things first hand, but in no way is that true in the world of books/movies. LISTEN UP! If there is a book, and then a movie adaptation, the books details will ALWAYS be the right ones, the books version in ALWAYS correct, and what the movie adds in can NOT be considered canon material when talking about the fandom. If a book and movie tell a story diffrenly, the book is ALWAYS ALWAYS right, no ifs, ands, or buts.
3. Second of all, never underestimate the power of discriptive language. Just because action and violence is not being shoved visualy in your face. Many books are extremly violent and gory, and can make you feel the same way watching a gory movie can.
I'm not saying that movie watchers are not valid fans, I just belive that no matter how many times you watch the movies, it will never amount to reading the book.
