LinkSo, to make a good character, let's start off by drawing the character. If you want to make a good character, make it at least either simple, or fun, to draw. Remember, "drawing is supposed to be fun, not a pain in the ass". Take Emanuel for example, he is a good character. He is fun to draw, so he is a good character for drawing.
Now, this is optional, but your character may also have a pictured voice in your head, based on what the character looks like. Emanuel has a deep, seemingly impulsive voice.
Now, why did I say that you want to keep your character simple or fun to draw? Well, imagine that you wanted to draw your character again, or animate it. Animation should be fun too, so I recommend keeping it simple, or at least fun to draw.
Some people don't want to make a character TOO simple, but at the same time fun to draw. I like people like that, even though I like my characters simple
One last thing, let your imagination go WILD! You can make any character you think fits you. I love many differ
