Tracing is a natural thing that humans do to learn things. think of a coloring book. when i was little i used to trace my coloring books for fun. Tracing is okay as LONG as you DONT post it and claim it as your own! heres another example: Role models think of what teachers say to older kids saying "act right and be a better role model" children look up to older people. they copy what they do. take a baby as an example; if you clap your hands, they will do the same thing, if you use manners, they will do the same thing.. if you are rude... sadly.. they will do the same thing. people who are out there attacking children for; trolling, tracing, youre only gonna make them do the same thing.

also- most art thefts on flipanim are categorized as trolls. thats why i did not mention it no: stealing is not okay. but neither is attacking people.

ahem--- added on by sunbeam "There’s a difference between heavy referencing and tracing So if you trace is when you basic your art off someone’s art style not steal a file from the person and some tracing is good but heavy referencing is kinda different from that so if you do feel like you’re tracing And Heavy references doesn’t mean you copy/Basic you art style off someone else’s When you heavy reference you use referencing on your are not tracing if you use a reference like how I find pictures of wolves and sketch over them it’s a type of referencing and tracing I practice anatomy that way"
