This my dear friends is a man who was very violent as a child and ended up turning that violence into a career through people paying him for murder. After years of this, he ended up finding someone he really cared about, his soon to be wife. After about 15 years of being together and 12 years of raising kids, his job came back to haunt him. Someone who had to deal with the aftermath of his work decided vengeance against him and so killed him and his entire family. He was the only one brought back by a deity who thought he would useful for destruction since he naturally isn't a nice person, but learned to be over time. He ended up just going into a state of denial of the death of his family and for 12 years of convincing himself that his family was alive, other people found him and broke that little bit of happiness in his life, now making him violent again
