LinkYou are either the captain, a stowaway, or a crewmate yourself on a british cargo ship, trying to get to england. either way you are below deck, you've heard of the supposedly cursed ship of the butcher. she had whale ribs on her hull and that all too familiar red sails. theres stories that the captain is surprisngly a lady, but a strong one. thinking about this, you seem to loose track of time, that is. before you hear screaming on deck. you go to run up before a cannonball flew through the hull right past you. do you hide? do you fight the attacker? wwyd?

casually wants to use my pyraite man but at the same time wants to use my scruffy women stowaway-
*snort* listen veronica swings both ways. so either one will do just fine. but just letting you know, she has a skeletal parrot named frenchie. and shes really good with a sword.
dont judge my spelling mistakes lmao- and i have no refs for either of them-

Pyrite ran to the deck to see what was happening only to see a cannon ball just barely miss him "god damnit, and on such a peaceful day" Izzy was hiding where she had snuck on from terrified of what the loud noise was
veronica was screaming at her men, standing over a dead crewmate. her long, red hair flowed within the salty breeze. she had a captain's hat, a singular colorful feather on it. she was jumped by a crewmate, who she threw overboard, laughing.
Pyrite's long flowing golden hair was beautiful in the sun, they were a faithful crewmate who imidietly went to make sure their caption was okay, Izzy was cowering where they hid, they werent very brave
Veronica grinned, starting to the captain. slicing at anyone who dared to approach her. she yelled at someone to search below deck for any stragglers, and more importantly, cargo.
Pyrite put there hair with a sigh wondering silently to himself what happened, Izzy was a rather small women and she was an very good hider, it would take someone truly looking to find her
a man with long blue hair was kicking barrels around. Veronica on the other hand was grinning, before calling out to the captain. "surrender your ship, friend! we might leave you alive!"
Pyrite took out his sword ready to fight for his caption, Izzy was terrified as she squeaked and covered her mouth
the man looked over, grinning. his yellow eyes piercing into the souls of many. he kicked over a barrel, chuckling. "well well, what do we have here?"
veronica raised a brow, before laughing. "your brave, boy. I like it. but bravery will get you no where in this fight."
Izzy jumped and covered her face, she was in a small worn out dress, she had a few bandages going up her legs and she refused to admit she got caught, Pyrite growled "i have more than bravery."
veronica snorted. laughing with her crew. "honey, honey. what else do you got? I wouldn't play the hero if i were you." he paused, before huffing at the sight of her. "we aren't savages, cmon. veronica will take you in." he grumbled, holding out his scarred hand.
Pyrite was a rather scarred and well built man, he was also rather tall, he growled at her as he glared, Izzy peeked out and looked at the name, she was a skinny and small women, she looked so harmless "who..?"
he huffed, taking off his jacket, throwing it on her. he sighed. "my captain, she's was just like you."
Veronica twirled her sword, smirking. "cmon then you big brute!"
Izzy jumped and moved the jacket so she could see "really?" Pyrite looked to his caption, wanting an okay before he did anything
the captain just sighed, nodding. Veronica stood there, waiting on him to charge, her boys were cheering her on.
he nodded. "a stow away, a little young than you. she got caught by the previous captain, captain took her in. and she's the captain now." he smiled, chuckling.
Izzy stood up carrying the jacket, "wow!" Pyrite was a very polite man as he turned back to Veronica "ladys first"
veronica smirked, shrugging. "I insist you go first hon. wouldn't want to get.. any gnashes.. infected." she grinned.
The man chuckled. "cmon, everyone is on deck, uh, my name is Virgo by the way."
"Word of advice, Never judge an opponent before you fight them, one day someone will beat you with ease and completely destroy your big ego" Pyrite growled remembering her calling him a brute, Izzy looked at him "im Izzy"
veronica raised a brow. "and what do you think I am then?" she smirked, she still had a tight grip on her sword. "I can tell from the look in your eyes that your very calculated, sure your big, stocky build holds up a powerful swing. but, you seem to specialize in carrying cargo more so than fighting. how am i doing so far?"
Virgo smiled, walking up the stairs. "I'm sure she's doing a one on one right now."
"Your not too off but you are a bit wrong with you last part" he looked down at her, she nothing more that a obstacle to him
Izzy stayed close to him, rather nervous
veronica smiled, there was a glimpse of a corpse when a cloud passed by the sun. she was dead, has been for years.. but how come shes still here? just then a strange parrot landed on her shoulder. it was bones and rotten flesh, it stared at him with a emotionless look.
Virgo sighed, chuckling. "it's alright, she knows what she's doing"
Pyrite chuckle "aye, tis not a fair fight then." he put his sword back in its holder with a sigh
Izzy starred in shock terrified at what she just saw
veronica sighed, pointing at the captain. looking at her men. "kill em." was all she said before someone threw a throwing knife into the captain's chest. Virgo quickly covered her eyes, he didn't want to traumatize her.
Pyrites eyes widened as he turned his attention back to Veronica as he just shook his head in defeat, he didnt want to fight
Izzy was confused
veronica stood up, chuckling. "could have saved him buddy. Virgo, take the lady and this.. brute back to the ship. as for the rest of ya, loot the ship." she smiled a little.
"Brute..?" Pyrite growled he didnt like being called that, he put his hand on his sword and gripped it tightly, he then let it go, Izzy didnt know what had happened
Virgo sighed, walking over to him. "cmon dude, you kinda have to live with it. she calls every man a brute." he smiled, looking over. "crooks, walk this young lady over. don't push her." the one handed man sighed, "come on young one. watch your step."
Pyrite glared at him, this man wasnt moving "i dont have to live with it. i dont even have to go with you." he growled, Izzy was very jumpy and didnt like being touched
veronica kicked pirate's legs out from under him, pointing her sword inches away from his neck. "oh your goin.' half your crew is dead. your captain is dead. you won't survive a week without sinking." she grinned. Virgo sighed, grumbling.
"Then sink i shall" he starred at her with a blank expression, he was clearly not going willingly
veronica growled. Virgo sighed, getting some mean over. they proceeded to drag him, or at least try too. veronica picked up a wooden ball, giving it to her parrot to chew on.
Pyrite got up and shoved Virgo down "you'll tire yourself out doing that"
veronica grumbled, slicing pyrite's back. the rigged blade causing more pain than a normal blade would. Virgo didn't try to fight, not unless he needed too
Pyrite sighed "and my other wound just healed.." he turned to Veronica, he showed no sighs of even feeling the pain
veronica huffed. "your getting on that boat." she growled, staring at him in the eye. crooks lead Izzy into the captain's quarter's, smiling. "she'll be with ya"
Pyrite moved the sword "and if i dont?"
Izzy looked at him "whats gonna happen.."
crooks shrugged. "dunno, you might become one of us if you want. if not she'll get you back home"
veronica growled. before smiling. "lady friend dies, you get cut up piece by piece.. which ever you prefer."
He growled looking down at her, he was about 6'10 "Fine then." he looked away "why do i have to go with you all anyway?"
Izzy sighed "i dont even have a home to go to"
veronica grumbled. "I'm doing you a favor, I'm getting you to land." she growled, walking over to her ship.
veronica opened her door. walking in and sitting at her desk. her bird flew over to a post. veronica sighed, grumbling.
Izzy was staying put where she was left and Pyrite stood by the edge of the boat
Virgo stared at him, before motioning his head towards the captain quarters. veronica smiled at izzy, chuckling. "you need some clothes?"
Izzy shook her head "im fine with my short dress" she smiled slightly, Pyrite looked over the edge
veronica pulled out her map and her tools, smiling. "do you need food and water?" for someone with what seems to be a curse, she's very pleasant.
Virgo elbowed him, huffing. "you should likely go to her quarters, she might want to talk to you"
Pyrite looked at Virgo, a few tears ran down his cheek "anyone i care for seems to die you know? i could have saved my caption but no.." he sighed "i dont want to talk to her."
Izzy shook her head "ill be fine"
virgo sighed. "you learn from it, buddy. all of us lost someone. crooks lost his wife back at england. i lost my daughter. and veronica herself.. lost the captain, who was a father to her." he chuckled, patting his back.
Veronica smiled, nodding. "well then, you'll have a room to yourself, for privacy. you'll also have free roam, except, you knock before coming in my quarters."
"I lost my wife and three sons.." he sighed and shook his head
Izzy nodded and looked to her "Im Izzy by the way"
virgo smiled, staring off to sea. "there's a saying i go by, 'the souls of the ocean, they wait for me' i plan on dying in battle, that way i would be ready to see my daughter again." he looked into the sea, a mermaid leaped out of the water, he didn't seemed phased by it though.
veronica smiled, nodding. " veronica, welcome aboard."
Pyrite glance at him "its my fault they are dead, i left.. for 2 minutes.. it was my sons birthday and i wanted to get him something special, and i came back to someone leaping out the window and my family dead" he told this with no emotion in his voice and very calm look on his face
Izzy sea blue hair went to her knees and it was rather well kept compared to the rest of her
virgo pointed out to the open ocean. "my daughter drowned, siren's took her. we have one that follows us. but sense we all know her song, we usually just leave her be. thats why we left your boat floating. the survivors are her meals. it keeps her at bay.. so an ancident like that doesn't happen again." he started at the sea. sorrow was in his eyes, but he had a smile.
veronica smiled, before walking out onto the deck, grabbing a apple on the way out.
"A siren.. i hate them.." he growled at the thought of them, "i feeling light headed, my back must be bleeding alot"
Izzy peeks out of the room she was in
virgo paused a little, waving veronica over. veronica ran over, huffing. "what is it, virgo." virgo pointed at his back, grumbling to himself. veronica sighed, looking over at him. "may i see it?"
He glared at her, she hadnt made a good impression on him, and he can hold a grudge for as long as he lives
veronica sighed, going behind him and lifting his shirt up. "just because i killed your captain, does not mean anything. your captain owed me something. as for you, you'll be returning to england without any more scratches." she checked the wound, before sighing and backing away. "come with me."
He didnt move, instead he took out a picture of his wife and children and simply tossed it into the ocean "gotta learn to let go" he said plainly with a smile on his face
veronica paused, before growling and grabbing him by the ear, yanking him down to her level. staring at him in the eye. "you want to live, yes? i wish to help you so come with me." virgo seemed to back off a little
He grabbed her arm and moved it from his ear "i dont have to go anywhere with you ma'am, i do not wish to have help from someone who killed my caption."
virgo waved his hands. "listen dude your bleeding out. i suggest going with her before you pass out." he coughed, veronica was getting a little frustrated. she was trying to help him from dying, for god's sake.
"if i die, then i die a happy man" he looked over the boat with a sigh, Izzy came out of the room still very scare of the crew
crooks walked over to izzy, he was in his 50s, had one hand, and a kind smile. veronica paused, before looking away. going into her quarters and grabbing some cloth, coming back out with it. "shirt off and sit your ass down."
Izzy messed with her hair anxiously
Pyrite shook his head "no thank you ma'am, i would rather not"
veronica grumbled. "just let me bandage you up for ****'s sake." she huffed. virgo looked over at him. "if you want her to stop bothering you, your gunna have to do what she says." crooks smiled, "want me to show you around?"
Pyrite shook his head "she will give up eventually, because i wont let her." Izzy nodded happily
crooks smiled, walking along the deck. "you met virgo and captain, but thats slim, Bennie, alexander, and the twins." veronica paused, before grumbling. "do you want a apology?" she huffed, crossing her arms.
"the words im sorry wont mean anything, you took my only friend and source of comfort from me." his voice cracked with anger no matter how hard he wanted to hit it
Izzy smiled and let her guard down
veronica paused at his voice cracked, before sighing. "at least let me show you where your quarters will be." she seemed worried about him. her soft side was showing all too much. crooks chuckled. "the twins will be the most of your worries, they tend to pull practical jokes." he huffed, the twins laughing.
Pyrite shook his head, "i would like to be alone with my thoughts for a bit."
Izzy seemed worried when he said that
crooks looked over, chuckling. "from the looks of it though, virgo will keep them off your back." virgo paused, before grabbing the bandages from veronica. "if you won't let her do it, can i? i'll be quick so we can leave you be."
Izzy messed with her hair anxiously "alright"
"no thank you" he looked at the water
virgo backed off, veronica did too. but virgo watched him from affar, waiting to rush to help if he passes out. crooks smiled. "cmon, i'll show you the quarters captain assigned ya," he smiled, using his cane to get below deck.
Pyrite was leaning his weight on the boat, refusing to believe he needed help, he was getting weaker fast
Izzy followed, feeling bad because everyone was being so nice but she didnt feel she deserved it
virgo sighed, after a minute he came over. "alright bud, wrap your arm around me, were taking ya below deck." he huffed. crooks walked down the steps and turned the corner to a small room with a dresser, a cot, a end table, and a desk with a chair. "it ain't much, but its the best we got."
Pyrite looked to him "no thank you" he looked back to the water
Izzy began to cry
crooks panicked a little, stuttering. "are you ok? are you hurt?" virgo growled, grabbing his arm and slinging it onto his shoulder. "your gunna fall to the siren if you keep it up. cmon."
Pyrite was a heavy man, and he was only half able to function "fine."
Izzy looked at him "your all being so nice to me... but.. i dont deserve that type of kindness"
virgo manage to get him below deck, sitting him down on a cot. grabbing the bandages again. "lift up that shirt, will ya." crooks sighd, smiling. he patted her back gently. "theres spare clothes in the dresser. if you need anything theres a rope on the bed side, pull it." he chuckled.
Pyrite sighed and angrily lifted it up
Izzy nodded but continued to cry
virgo wrapped his torso with it, grumbling. slicing off the end before securing it. "now your gunna stay down here and rest, you need anything call one of us down. ya hear?" crooks smiled, chuckling. "i'll be above deck hon." he walked up the stairs.
Izzy went in the room with a smile
Pyrite growled "im fine now so im going back to look at that water"
virgo pushed him down the cot. "sleep." he nearly growled. before walking up on deck.
virgo yawned, grumbling. "hes like a stubborn child, veronica." veronica looked over, sitting on a barrel. "he'll be fine, we'll reach england in 3 days give'r'take." she smiled. the lower deck was filled with weaponry, from cannonballs to jars of a oil to wracks of swords. there was other cargo too, chests with a lock, boxes of food, extra wooden planks. there was a fire born stove to cook fish and other foods on. but what stand out the most.. was the whale skull.
Pyrite stood up and stumbled forward "shit maybe i should listen.." He stood up straight and walked out of the room
the twins were singing a shanty, it sounded quiet familiar to some. it seemed to tell a story about a sailor that went off to sea to find his crew. veronica sat at the front of boat. she had taken her hat off, and had it in her lap. Virgo was trying to get some shut eye.
Pyrite walked onto the deck and stood by the edge looking back at the water, he looked very calm for once and had let his hair down, Izzy was sitting at the small desk in the room with her head down
crooks came down with some food, it was a pan fried fish with some fruit and bread. setting the plate on the desk. veronica seemed to look over to the spot next to her, her eyes saddened for a moment, before a gentle smile appeared on her face. the bird from earlier came over to pyrite. tilting its head.
Pyrite looked at the bird and raised a brow "well arent you interesting"
Izzy lifted her "o-oh im fine!"
the bird's bones creaked when it moved. it seemed it's wings. there were little feathers, but they were worn and soaked. it had no eyeballs, but two little lights were in its eyesockets.
crooks chuckled. "you need to eat something, you can't be cooped up here for the rest of your life." he laughed.
Pyrite stared at the bird for awhile "very interesting indeed" he examined it
Izzy shook her head "im just not hungry"
veronica whistled, and the bird flew over to her. veronica then gave it a walnut. crooks smiled. "well it's there when you need."

veronica chuckled, before the bird flew back over to pyrite with its prize.
Pyrite was looking at his pocket watch, it was made of pure gold and had a symbol on the front of it
Izzy sighed holding onto her hands
the bird pecked at it a little, before squawking. the siren from earlier was watching him now. swimming along the ship.
crooks pats her head, chuckling.
He put the watch in his pocket, and his golden hair flowed in the wind, and he smiled a little bit
Izzy looked at him "Thank you for the food"
the siren laughed at him, almost mockingly. the bird sqauwked at her.
crooks smiled, nodding. "no problem hon."
He looked at the siren and stuck up the middle finger
Izzy stood up and hugged him
crooks chuckled, patting her head.
veronica came over, resting her hand to the bird. "cmon frenchie"
She stopped "s-sorry i should have asked fist"
He put the finger down and looked to her "you have a very interesting bird"
veronica raised a brow at him, sighing. "thank you, his name is frenchie." crooks smiled, shaking his head. "no n, your fine."
"Im Pyrite, just realized i never told you my name"
"are you sure? my mom used to always tell me it was very wrong to do something without asking"
crooks laughed. "well hugging a old man is a nice thing to do!"
veronica's eyes narrowed, before sighing. "veronica."
crooks smiled. "the boys are singing if you wish to join them"
veronica grumbled. "its a name you would give to a lady that wears corsets and fancy hats."
Izzy quickly shook her head "i dont sing anymore."
"And Pyrite is the name of a rock"
veronica laughed. "fool's gold, sweetheart."
crooks smiled, "you don't have to."
"i say rock" he shrugged "but i guess thats why i fool people so well" he chuckled at his stupidity
"alright"
veronica let out a hearty laughed. "good, you'll need it."
crooks smiled. "just come up when your ready"
He took out his pocket watch and showed her the symbol "only thing i ever stole and it was from a dead man."
"Okay!"
veronica sighed. "i was a stowaway, like the young lady down below deck. they caught be stealing bread, and the captain took me in. the first thing i ever stole was frenchie"
"that young lady reminds me someone, i just cant quite figure it out.." he opened the pocket watch, it played a very quite tune
veronica sighed, taking off her hat. staring at it. it was a little worn, like someone had worn it before her. either way, she somehow had gotten it, and she didn't buy it.
"this was my wife's favorite song" he hummed along to it, for once his deep voice didnt sound intimidating

veronica froze, looking back at him. "what..?" all the boys on the boat froze, staring at them.
Pyrite looked at them "what? was it something i said-?" he thought "is that bad?" he hated the stares as his face grew red with embarassment
veronica coughed, storming to her quarters. the boys soon bursted into the laughter.

virgo huffed, lifting his hat. "they think your nuts. one minute you hated her the next you've grown fond of her?"
