ok idk where to start but when i turned 18 I got a silly diagnosis and I wpuld finally like to share it with u guys.... a month late
gonna get serioused rn tho
When I was maybe 12-13 the delusions were bad (I thought I was mangle fnaf + more delusions of diff things)
around 15-16 I had severe mania, and when I turned 17 "DID" (dissociative identity disorder) got really well known, and I thought the voices I heard and delusions I felt (thinking I was other people due to... idk... mental illness?) was DID, so I misinterpreted my symptoms and got help for the wrong thing. A while in therapy and on new meds, the voices stopped and delusions stopped, so I was like "wtf going on where my alters" (I had none. I didn't have DID). when I told my team that, they decided to keep an eye on what meds I took and what symptoms they showed. Last year(2022), one of my meds was out and I couldn't get a refill, this was around October. When I looked up that med and saw what it was used to treat, I talked to my therapists on why I was taking it. When I didn't have a refill yet, I heard voices and had really bad moodswings/mania/delusions/etc
The medicine w
was used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar, neither of which I was diagnosed with at the time due to being a minor.
flash forward to january and a few days after my birthday, my therapist sat down with me and her DSM-5 and went through symptoms of a few different things.
After we discussed it, I had to wait a week and she came back after talking to uhhhh I'm gonna say other people who were a bit more experienced because I forgot who she talked to. and they sat me down and said "ok here's what you got."
now I gotta fill out PAPER WORK and get a PSYCHIATRIST because im a ****ing adult now kms ANYWAY i gotta update my school records, too
