But to help out, try thinking of hair as clusters and not individual strands. Much like a pair of ribbons instead of a pair of a dozen threads. That way you don't have to stress about each piece of hair, and you can split the project into parts. Color the beginning, and ends of the hair with a darker shade if you want light to reflect off of the middle. Wherever the light hits your character's hair would be the lightest spot. The farther from the light, the darker the hair gets. Much like when hair behind the ears is shaded by shadows. I hope that helps out a bit! :D
