LinkYour OC has had a reoccurring dream every night they have gone to sleep.
So one night your OC sees a door, they decide to open it but it slams shut and they wake up again.
The next night the door comes back and they try again, this time it's locked.
The night after that the door comes back in the dream.

???: You have come far from your travels Defender. *the voice was disembodied so it had no physical form*
???: Do you not know your destiny? You are bound to be the Defender of worlds beyond yours. It is a hard task and it's even harder to cope with. You will understand in due time.
C:*he sighs* "I have enough problems to deal with, too many ****ing timelines to keep track of, and you want me to be a fiction defender of shit?"
???: This is not the fiction you speak of! I can tell you that there are worse threats than what you have faced in the time you have been alive. I will show you if you agree to take my hand. *a hand came out of the shadows of the dream*

C:*he rolls his eyes and takes a hold of the hand*

*the hand pulled him into the shadows to a bright area that blinded him*
Chronos: Welcome to the dreamstate, this will be your home when you turn into the Defender or Realms.
(XD Yes! Chronos!)
Chronos: You can bring whatever you want here. There is anything you can put in this infinite space of a void. This...used to be realm.
Chronos: Yes, it was destroyed by greed and hostility. There is no world here anymore. Only the white void you see now.
Chronos: Because you have defended your world at whatever cost. It is time for you to take on a greater task.
Chronos: ...Is something wrong Defender? *he looked back at him slightly*
Chronos: *he nodded slightly, he was a black silhouette of someone Corrupt knew but couldn't put a name to yet*
Chronos: *he looked at Corrupt and tilted his head* Nowhere. You know from nowhere.
Chronos: *he looked around and smiled a bit* This used to be my home until... *it was now obvious where Corrupt knew Chronos from, (In my canon story line Squirrly has Chronos, not S.P.) Squirrly had cancer and was dying so Chronos had to move on to someone else*
Chronos: *the darkness around him started fading, showing the blue fur, green hoodie, brown pants and black shoes Squirrly wore* ...
C:"so, Is the Defender thing real or are you just looking for someone?"
Chronos: ...Both. I'm the original Defender. *he looked back at Corrupt and shrugged*
Chronos: Not unless I have a partner. Squirrly...he was the best. But when he got sick I couldn't defend with him anymore...he got too weak...he's still alive but barely moving... *he looked down at his feet sadly*
C:*he smiles at chronos* "I doubt ill be as good as your best but ill try"
Chronos: There is no trying, only doing. *he walked off to a different part of the void before the dream faded*
(It's now time to visit Squirrly. :))
*the shuffling led to the front door, it opened slightly then slammed open, hitting the wall*
*a sudden force pushed his machete out of his hand and stuck it straight up into the floor*
*the white board on the wall was getting written on, it said "Go see Squirrly, he needs you Defender."*
*the hospital was large and almost clean other than a few stains on the concrete*
*there was a door nearby on the first floor that said "S. Prince" on it*
Squirrly: *he was asleep on the bed, machines hooked up to him to keep him alive and all of his hair was gone*
C:*he lightly shakes squirlly* "wake up sleepyhead, I think I need something from you"
Squirrly: *he startled awake and looked at Corrupt, smiling slightly* Hey...
Squirrly: *he chuckled a bit then coughed* Like a ****ing ragdoll. ;w;
Squirrly: *he looked away slightly, thinking* ...It's...like everything you once knew is shattered into a million pieces, then it reforms into something else. It's...almost like it tries to rebuild itself but can't find the right shape, but eventually it figures it out.
Squirrly: *he smiled and took Corrupt's hand in his* You're going to be a great Defender. There are others like us out there just...hiding. I never found any of them, but maybe you can.
(What makes this funny is that everything corrupt once knew was shattered once already so he understands the feeling)
C:"hopefully I can, but I doubt ill be a better defender than you"

Squirrly: You'll never know how bad of a Defender I was. My god. I was horrible, if only you saw the fighting style I used. Hit once then run, hit once then run.
Squirrly: ...Really? Well that's a good note to leave on. *he smiled as the heart monitor started flat lining*
Squirrly: *he died there, the monitor flat lining completely*
*nurses and doctors came running into the room*
*the white board started writing again, "Find them at Solid Rock Canyon"*
*the white board strapped itself to his arm and wrote "The other Defenders"*
C:"and why didn't you tell this to squirlly? " *he begins heading to wherever solid rock Canyon is*
*the white board wrote again "Because he didn't want to know"*
Chronos: *his voice was in Corrupt's head* Because he thought he could do everything by himself. He had enough training to be a Defender by himself, but you, you're not strong enough. Yet.
C:"so what was the point of the whiteboards if you could just do this?"
Chronos: Well, Squirrly died yes? So I had to get out of his head before I died too. Everything was gone instantly so I had to escape before I was next. *he sighed sadly*
Chronos: Go South, that is where Solid Rock Canyon is. I will guide you.
(Time skip?)
Chronos: See the hole in the side of the canyon? That is where they are.
*there was talking in the hole that eventually led to a cave, a female voice and two males*
Marcel: When is he going to get here Chronos?
Chronos: He's coming right now.
Macy: I've had about enough of your lies, you're pathetic. *she started walking out and ran straight into Corrupt* ...
Macy: ...Oh...so...are you the new Defender?
Marcel: -_- She's always been a hot head.
Chronos: *he smiled his sharp toothed grin and seemed to get smug* I told you.
C:"well if I'm not I just walked into something interesting " *he smiles and holds out his hand* "the names corrupt"

Marcel: *he chuckled and shook Corrupt's hand* I'm Marcel, that's Macy and I assume you have met Chronos already.

C:"yep, he gave me the wise words of yoda before I started truly doing shit " *corrupt's standing at his good ol 8'5"*

Macy: *being the short ass she is, standing at 4'11, she ****ing jumped up and slapped Chronos in the back of the head* ****ing idiot.

Marcel: *he sighed and picked up Macy* She's my younger sister. She also has a very bad temper.

Macy: *she eventually started calming down, sighing and dropping out of his arms then punching Chronos in the nuts*

Macy: *she growled at Chronos then looked at Corrupt* Well, what do you know?

C:"haven't been told much, other than I supposed to be a defender of worlds beyond my own, and that I need training "

C:"I can't exactly put them away like a sword or gun, I can fold them up against my back but other than that I can't do much"

C:*he folds up the tentacles against his back, n t they are still quite noticeable*
Macy: *she looked back to him then walked past him quickly*

Chronos: ... *he was being oddly silent*
Chronos: No. She's just...it's my fault she's like this. I used to be something like you before I became this. *he sighed and held his face in his hands*
Chronos: *he nodded and held up his hand, showing what he used to look like when he was alive, he looked exactly like Corrupt only he had a scar over his eye*
Chronos: *he chuckled a bit* Never seen another of your kind huh?
C:"I've seen someone like me before, but I'd rather not talk about that"
Chronos: *he nodded and got up, walking out of the cave quickly to catch up to the others*
*Macy and Marcel were sparring on the edge of the cliff*
Chronos: Be careful you two!!
C:*he watches,wanting to unfurl his tentacles to stretch them out but won't*
Macy: *she smacked Marcel in the face when he got close and sent him flying off the edge of the cliff*
Marcel: *he screamed and quickly unfurled his wings, swooping back up to Macy* CHEATER!
Chronos: ;w; They scare me all the time.
Chronos: Yes. It's a gift from his own demon.
Pallor: *he appeared beside Marcel and growled*
Katey: *she appeared beside Macy and glared at Pallor* Is this ***** seriously your brother?
Macy: Yes. Sadly.

Chronos: Well, demonS. Katey Killjoy and Pallor are both demons.

C:"hadn't entirely realized demons were apart of this " *he looks at chronos* "so that mean your my demon?"
Chronos: Correct.
*the other two demons disappeared*
Macy: ...
Marcel: ...
C:"being defenders doesn't really sound like something demons would do"
Chronos: Well we're the good kind of demons. It's what we were assigned to do, defend the worlds beyond this one.
Chronos: And those two obviously don't know how to use their abilities. *he gestured to Macy and Marcel and sighed*
Chronos: Flight, Fire Control, Summoning Spells, and others that I haven't found yet.
Chronos: I find them when something happens, like somebody dies.
Chronos: *he smiled and disappeared, a sudden rush of power flowing through Corrupt*
Macy: *she looked at Corrupt and smiled* Ready?
Marcel: *he crossed his arms and popped his neck*
C:*he grins and puts his hands together popping his knuckles* "no holding back?"
C:*as the lunge at him he crouched down and instinctively use his tentacles in a more defensive position so he can see how they fight*
Macy: *she blinked and growled then bit off one of his tentacles*
Marcel: *before Corrupt could crouch down he grabbed his wrist and kneed him in the face*
C:*it seems like he doesn't even register the pain as he punches Marcel and stabs at Macy with his tentacles*
Macy: *she squealed in pain as a tentacle went through her arm*
Marcel: *his eyes flashed blue and he kicked Corrupt in the face as hard as he could*
C:*he doesn't even flinch as he continues the punches and uses the tentacles in Macy's arm to slam her into Marcel*
*they both got blown away from him then got up and growled at him*
C:"you did agree to no holding back, and I don't even know how to use the shit chronos has " *he may sound like he is gloating but corrupt is one tricky bastard*
Macy: *she smiled evilly and raised her hands to her sides, the water in the ground rising out of it then turning into ice spikes*
Marcel: *he did the same, only the rocks nearby turned to spikes as well*
*there was no fire around him, he woulf have to use the heat to create fire*
*they sent the spikes flying towards him*
C:*he dodges the spikes and runs at them, for now he doesn't fully understand so he will just attack normally*
*they both slap him in the face and send him flaying, sparks coming off of his face when he is hit*
C:*as he flys back he sees the sparks and tries to gain control over them*
*the sparks burst into massive fires instantly, burning Macy and Marcel*
C:*he pulls the flames towards him and tries to make them manageable fires*
*their fur was pitch black from the ash the fire had produced*
*the flames soon died down and disappeared*
Macy: That. Was...AWESOME!!!
Marcel: I can feel it all the way down to my flesh. ;-;
Macy: It's okay... *she rubbed the hole in her arm*
Marcel: I get to stab you fot that by the way.
Macy: Cool huh? You can do it too.
Marcel: *he shook off the ashes and sighed* I'm going home.
Macy: Amazing. *she smiled and blushed slightly*
Marcel: *he looked at Macy and raised a brow*
Macy: *she looked up at Marcel and cleared her throat* Well we ahould be going home.
Marcel: ...Do you have a home Corrupt?
Macy: Well where is it? If you want you can come by our place.
Marcel: Yeah. We'd enjoy the company.
Macy: :D Okay! Let's go! *she started walking off*
Marcel: *he stood beside Corrupt and whispered to him* I think she likes you.
Marcel: Yes, the way she looked at you I have only seen once from her. She stayed with that guy until he died and she always chooses the best. She likes you.
Marcel: I don't know. Maybe because of your strength. Maybe because she sees something I don't. Either way I know she likes you.
C:"she seemed terrified of me once she noticed the tentacles " *is clearly gonna over think all of this*
Marcel: But like I said, she may see something I don't. She doesn't care about the tentacles anymore.
Marcel: You did awesome. It was the best I have seen ib a long time.
C:"thanks, though next time ill try to have more control over the flames "
Marcel: *he nodded and smiled* I think she's waiting for you.
Macy: *she ducked from peeking around the corner* ...
Macy: *she blinked and pinned herself against the wall*

Marcel: Have fun you two. *he walked past them and started walking West*

kai looked at it he didn't want to do this anymore he just sat in front of it staring at the door
*the door opened slightly, like it was beckoning him to it this time*
kai stood and looked at the door ".... i don't want to go in anymore ..... scary..... " he looked around tried to wake up but couldn't

???: The world is in danger, Defender. Soon you will see what I speak of, take my hand. *a hand emerged from the darkness surrounding Kai*
kai looked at it "i- this has to be a trap i'm smarter than this....." kai was scared "very scary..."
???: *the hand beckoned to him, waving its fingers to him* Come now.
*the hand pulled him into the darkness and into a bright white area, it blinded him at first*
???: Welcome to the void. An infinite world where there is nothing but nothing.
"my worst fear...." kai didn't like this "get me out of hereeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!" he wanted to cry
???: *he blinked and hugged Kai, his warmth calming* Calm down, it's okay. There is nothing to harm you here.

kai calmed down a bit still sad about that "how am i supposed to go on...."

Chronos: ...You can go to him. He's waiting and he knows that you are coming. *the dream started fading and Kai was forced to wake up*
*the white board that was on the wall flew to the door and it had something written on it, "Go to him"*
*the white board gave him the address then dropped to the floor*
*the hospital was massive and it was clean, when Kai got inside there was a door on the first floor that said "S. Prince" on it*
Squirrly: *he smiled a bit then coughed* Sorry....why are you here? How did you know...?
"cronos spoke to me......." kai sat on the chair in the corner of the room
Squirrly: :O Really? So...you're the next Defender...heheheh...I knew it...
Squirrly: It means that all the worlds of the universe are protected by you and others that have the Defender's marking... *he pulled up the sleeve of his shirt to show the small indention on his skin*
Squirrly: Yes, I hope you can take that kind of pressure...because I barely could... *he chuckled a bit and looked at him*

*nurses and doctors came into the room, one of the nurses hugged Kai and started walking him out*

Chronos: Yes. I'm...sorry for your loss...he wad close to me too.

Chronos: *his face showed in Kai's mind, a kind smile showing* It's okay.
Chronos: *he hugged Kai, even though he wasn't visible he was still able to be felt*
kai wondered how this happens is chronos just a ghost that's around him or is it by mind? anyway he smiled a bit with the comfort from him

Chronos: *he picked up Kai and started carrying him home* Rest for a while. You have a long day tomorrow.
kai felt ad so he let chronos stay there kai went to ed after a while as well
Chronos: *he walked all the way home and put him on the couch, sitting next to him and petting his head gently* ...
