u just know the creators of still wakes the deep watched this movie and it changed their brain chemistry. i loooove when i can see someone's inspiration its like my fav thing ever. its so human and its so beautiful

sory im sitll really into south park didnt expect to see south park during this so i got reeally excited

honesrly i was worried i wouldnt like this movie much for whatever reason but i really do like it. i dont get freaked out by much (especially body horror cause thats my freaking jam) but this movie's body horror is really freaky and grotesque i love it a ton

in a way the "burning everything infected" aspect of this movie reminds me a lot of the scene in the walking dead w the scientist and his cure despite the fact that its pretty much nothing like that lmfao

i just noticed that it sounds like cicadas thats so eerie

it sounds like a hot summers day. wow

thats kinda poetic and im sure theres some sort of profound idea that could come from the concept of an alien in antarctica sounding like animals you only hear on a hot summer day but im too stupid to think of anything

the movie is over i liked it a lot! highly recommend it for those of u who havent watched it

sometimes i forget cartman canonically likes horror movies ugh i hate knowing we have a similar taste in movies i dont want to be similar to cartman at all

makes me want to watch a play through of still wakes the deep again. which u guys should also watch a playthrough of! or play it urself !! its so so so good i will forever praise that game u NEED. to watch it. i recommend IGP's playthru (and his playthrus of other horror games i love him lots)

its very similar to this movie but to be honest i think i like the game more because of how it's runtime allows for the characters to be fleshed out more. and you being a part of it makes it more personal (and scarier by proxy). it also happens on an oil rig which feels way more liek something rhat COULD happen to YOU. like very few people realistically find themselves in ANTARCTICA. but going out to sea? thats a vacation. overall i love both but being able to make the characters feel so real and personal thanks to the medium makes such a difference i think. thats not to say that The Thing is bad whatsoever, its a great movie and im sure Still Wakes The Deep wouldnt even exist without it, but i think its really held back by having to fit everything into an hour and a half. or maybe not. im not a film critic
