i recommend you begin

-there was alot of commotion inside the store of the gas station- then someone ran out holding a backpack-

-The person turned around and looked at the suspicious figure grinning under the mask the unknown identity throw the money bag into his hands and hid near-

-overjoyed malice spread the face of the guilty as he waved at Mike teasfully and ran the store owner running after mike along with one other employee-

-Once Mike got closer you saw someone with 2 toned hair in a ponytail running, they're fast but unfortunately, you don't get a glimpse of their face as they're wearing a mask. The figure turned around to tease Mike but fortunately for you- tripped-

-The figure started to laugh uncontrollably- "What are you? a BABY?!"

"Oh!" The figure laughed "that was just for fun! My family and I got our share this week I just wanted to entertain myself the worlds been really depressing lately." -They tilted their mask up just enough for you to see an overjoyed smile- "Anyway you should keep running with that mask you'll look like he culprit!"

"Waiting another day would've saddened me and I don't like being sad, but I do what I please when I please so that's really no problem!" -They chuckled- "Hey- how about you come with me! the plus is you won't get taken to court and I get a new friend how exciting!"

"Perfect choice!"-The sketchy figure gestured mike to follow him and once he caught up they spoke- "I go by Rio by the way! A pleasure to meet you."

-Rio giggled- "You'll fit right in! Even if it's temporary. I haven't even introduced you to the rest of my family but I just know you'll be a great addition!" -Rio went on a ramble about his "family" all the way until you both finally stopped in an abandoned part of the small city you stood in front of a single door- "We're here!"

"You cam here willingly did you not?" -Rio tilted his head- "You can go home if you please but I won't be there and you'll have to either go into hiding or prison unless you have enough money to hire a good lawyer." -The sudden change in attitude was almost frightening-

"Well now that, that's out the way" -Rio clapped- "Let's go!" -He exclaimed the cheerfulness instantly retuned as he opened unlocked the door- "Once I open the second door don't do anything stupid ok?" -He said while walking through the long hallway-

-Rio opened the second door and you're confronted with a few figures- "Welcome! Oh, and it's ok everyone this guy will be joining us today!" -The first one to walk up to you is someone with Long blue hair with a mask that had stars for eyes-

"I don't like the vibe he's giving off Rio." -The blue-haired on grunted- "You sure he isn't just a scarecrow? Maybe you were mistaken.." -Rio took of his masked and made it visible for you to see his smile- "Oh Gabe you're just overreacting! I never make mistakes this big."

"Of course you aren't! I wouldn't have talked to you if you were." -Rio said patting Mikes back- "Take a seat! and feel at home." -Rio stretched and walked over to the large table at the side of the room "You're free to take off your masks everyone, Mike is no threat." -Slowly they took off their masks the only one who kept theirs on was Gabriel the blue-haired guy-

"Why don't you take off your mask mike?" -Rio said curiosity filled his eyes- "If its because you think you're ugly we don't mind!"-he exclaimed with a smile-

"Ah, I see I apologize." -Rio put his hands together and turned his head- "Gabriel is something wrong?" -Gabe flinched slightly he had been staring at the newcomer this whole time- "I-I'll have a talk with you later." -he grunted leaving the room. Rio just sighed-

-A few people stick out like a tall girl with pink and orange hair holding a mask slightly similar to Gabes and a boy with Vigalito splattered so perfectly on his face that it made the shape of stars- "Would you like to talk to the others?" -Rio said picking a scab on his face- "They are most likely very intrigued by your presence because you aren't a scarecrow."

"Understood!" -The shorter one chimed- "Gabe obviously wanted to talk so I must keep him waiting! If you need anything go to Button the one with stars on his skin, I'll be on my way!" -Rio got up and went the direction of which Gabe did leaving Mike to fend for himself-

-Most of them just ignored mike and kept talking to eachother, all except for Button who was the only one who walked up to him- "Are you ok? You seem shaky."

"What types of medication do you take? I'm sure I'd have it."-He said in a soft voice-

"Oh! Marley takes that so we definitely have some, follow me" -Button started walking to a part of the large room with multiple cabinets and a counter-

-Button took out the correct medication once they found it- "How many do you usually take?" -They said while getting water so he could swallow the pills-

"Ok!" -button bowed- "Please come to me if you need anything later on." -Button gave Mike the pill-

-Rio had come back from his talk and waved at Mike- "Hellooo! I see you've been doing some chatting, found anything about this place that interests you yet?"

"Well keep looking, you'll find some interesting friends!" -Rio beamed- "Unless you're an introvert if that's the case then you can hang with me!"

"Oh he was just arguing to me about you, I told him to not bother you. But its ok he wouldn't ignore direct orders just expect him to act a little nasty towards you while he's around."

-Rio sighed- "He's been like this ever since Bear came along not trusting anyone I bring in for a long time." -Rio seemed to trail off in thought for a second but quickly snapped out of it-

"I'm going to get the place set up for the night, you can come or stay and watch something on the tv it's not that big though sorry." -Rio chuckled-

-Rio just gave a polite nod and went upstairs. You see a couch by a small tv set on a table someone else is there already its the girl with 2 toned hair and the mask similar to Gabes-

"Heyo!" -She waved back- "You're that newcomer from earlier! I'm Marley."

-The news was on, news reporter: after massive police department raid one policeman was found dead and stuffed in a minifridge bla bla bla-

"Yeah Rio is scary when he gets mad.." -After realizing what she said she covered her mouth instantly-

"I um- I." -She scratched the back of her neck- "Do you feel like you need to know because if not we can forget this happened-"

-two or three more gruesome murder stories came onto the tv that were obviously Rio and before the news could say anything else Marley turned off the tv-"I- I um need to wash...My shoes bye-" -she got up and shimmied away-

-Rio came back from upstairs waiving innocently he seemed nothing like the monster on tv- "Heyyy Mike!"

-Rio tilted his head- "Something wrong?" -he said scratching at the scar under his mouth-

"Anything interesting on tv?" -he asked softly-

-Rio could tell something was bothering him but ignored it- "Well good news! Bears visiting tonight, I'm sure you'll love him!" -Rio grinned- "That is if you stay up late, if not you'll miss the visit."

-Rios eyes grew wide in excitement- "Awsome! Well I mean not the insomnia part but the fact you'll be up to meet him!"

"Where would you like to sleep tonight? Marley can show you a few places to rest or you can just stay on the couch if thats where your comfortable"

-Rio gave a thumbs up- "You can ask Button for a blanket when you're ready!" -He skipped off without even saying bye this time-

-Gabe happened to walk by and glanced at the photo Mike was holding-

-Gabe paused for a second- "Is that someone important?" -He said in curiosity-

-Gabe just stayed where he was- "Something private I presume? As long as you're not planning to go against us you can keep your secrets."

-Gabe didn't really know what else to say so he just nodded and went to the direction Rio did- -about an hour later-

-Rio yelled out in excitement- "Mikeee! He's here!"

-Rio tugged on Mike acting like a child- "Come on!" -He said before running outside-

-The cold air hit Mike it felt kind of refreshing in a way. There in front of you stood a tall male wearing a pink sweater and no mask, he had soft facial features and looked almost familiar even though you didn't know him- "Mike meet Bear and Bear meet Mike!" -Rio said happily-

-Bear waved- "My real name is Leo so you can call me that." -he said slowly- "You and mike are gonna get along well!" -Rio exclaimed enthusiastically-

-Gabe was standing behind Mike he grunted when he saw Rio hug Bear he didn't trust him that much- "Let's go do something exciting! Like walk on the edge of a building or hang upsidedown over a river!" -Rio Piped-

-Bear looked at Rio dissapointed- "What the hell did you do to the poor guy?" -Rio giggled- "Nothing, and anyway I was joking. Because you're here tonight is special so let's go get ice cream! Sound good Mike?" -Rio said tilting his head-

"I'll go get the truck!" -Rio exclaimed before running off. Bear just sighed and walked up to Mike- "Not gonna lie I was surprised, someone else was here Rio hasn't seen anyone who isn't a scarecrow for about two years." -Bear pointed out-

"If I had to take a guess you don't have a clue what that means do you?" -Bear grinned-

"Ok so basically-" -Bear paused trying to think of a good way to explain- "Rio can't see anyone, his brain just randomly blocks people out and for Rio, they just look like mindless scarecrows. So in the event, he bumps into someone that he can see he'll make it a point to talk to them or interact in any way. If that makes sense."

"He never told me how it happened it seems like a-" -Unfortunately before Bear could finish his sentence Rio was in the drivers seat of a truck and backed up close to the entrance of the building- "Hop in guys!" -He said happily-

-It took 15 minutes to get to the icecream place- "We're here! make sure you know what you want when you get inside." -Rio got out of the car along with Gabe and Bear-

-once they got inside they had the lady at the counter take their order and sat down to wait- "Sooo Mike." -Rio began- "Arent you gonna ask about anything? Why are you so quiet."

-Rio just tapped on the table- "Don't be nervous! it's not like I'm going to bite you for asking me a question aha!" -Bear sighed felling kind of bad for Mike-

"Oh, I can't remember my age but it's somewhere between 18 and 21 though! Hey thanks for reminding me! I'll have to find that one birthday photo I have it'll help me remember.." -before Rio could ramble any more Bear jumped in- "20." -Gabe surprisingly responded to the question too- "19." "how about you Mike? You look like...30" -Rio said-

-Rio laughed a little and then the lady came over with the icecream- "Ok! next question ." -Rio said while stuffing his face with Ice cream-

-Rio wiped the ice cream off his face with his sleeve- "I met Gabe right after his face got burnt up! We've known each other for about 3 years now! Ohh Bear is an interesting story because at first, I couldnt see him but he kept trying to talk to me then one day click! I saw him funny right? most of the others were just abandonded teenagers and people who didnt fit in thats all."

(Gabe is the only other one with a mask on btw,,)

"Nope! It's supposedly completely random but I believe its because the people I can see are special and have some sort of place in my life even if it's brief."

"eh, I've gotten used to it. If I can't see them that means they aren't important."

-Rio grinned- "Yeah I do! Ok, first one you wear that mask to do like everything why is it so important? I mean really."

-Rio tilted his head- "Welll what's under the mask? Like what do you look like."

-Rio gasped in awe- "I thought Gabe had a lot of scars! what the hell happened?" -Rio got smacked on the back of the head by Bear- "Stop asking so many personal questions he's not you who couldn't give a shit about privacy idiot."

-Bear frowned and Rio rubbed the back of his head- "You doing better now?" -Bear asked-

-Bear put his hands together- "That's awesome! keep it up." -Gabe grunted- "Can we go do something else now?"

"Go to the river." -He replied. Rio smiled- "If everyone agrees we can go!" -Bear shrugged- "Doesn't bother me."

"Let's go then!" -Rio exclaimed standing up. Bear stood up with him holding his half-finished ice cream, Gabe wanted to make it a point to stand up last so he just had his head turned at to Mike-

-Once Gabe got in the truck Rio started it, the silence was kind of unnerving especial because the radio was staticy- "So Mike how'd you meet Rio?" -Bear asked to break the quiet-

-Gabe snickered a little while Bear looked like he wanted to hit Rio again but couldn't because he was driving- "Why are you such an asshole." -Bear whispered to Rio, and when he didn't respond Bear turned to look at Mike- "I'm really sorry about him, sometimes he forgets that the world doesn't revolve around him."

-Rio looked at Bear-"See? Its all well and good, and hey if the police are after still him I'll do something worth their time to take their minds off you!" -he stated looking back at Mike with a smile-

-Rio kept grinning- "Awww you're worried about me! How sweet, don't worry I'll only use it as a last resort then!" -He turned his head back and they were getting closer to the river by now-

-Once they got there Gabe instantly ran out of the truck not waiting for anyone else- "Well we're here! Gabe made that obvious.."- -Rio said opening the door to the truck. Once Rio was far enough away Bear looked back at Mike- "Ones again I'm sorry about him"

-Gabes mask was on the ground and he had his hand in the water Rio was being the idiot he was and hanging on a tree upsidedown over the river- "Heyyy Mike! Come and hang with us! Haha get it?" -Rio chimed-

-Bear had taken flashlights because of how dark it was and gave one to Mike. Bear then flashed it in Rioss face making him fall into the water-

-Bear snickered- "Year he's just staying under to worry you." -Once Bear said that Rio Instantly popped his head up from the water- "You're still an asshole Bear." -Rio spat-

-Before Bear could say anything Gabe pushed him in too- "You wanna be next red hair?" -Gabe said scowling at Mike-

"Pussy." -Gabe scoffed- "Mikee!" -Rio yelled- "Come onnn! The waters ****ing freezing but it's fun!"

-Rio shrugged and Bear got out of the water cursing to himself- "I'm going back to the truck, Mike if you want to come be my guest." -Bear angrily stomped off to the truck-

"I've put up with this shit for way too long, Gabes just lucky I'm freezing right now or I would've punched him." -Bear sighed-

-Bear scanned the back of the truck and took out a bag- "Blanket...And a single T-shirt, I guess that'll have to do." -Bear scratched the back of his neck- "Make sure you don't get caught up in any more their crap because you don't seem like the type to just go along with the kind of stuff they do."

"Rio isn't that bad, but I can't say much about Mike aside that he hates me." -Bear went behind the truck to change-

"It's most likely because of my relationship with Rio, he thinks I'm suspicious and untrustworthy when I'm really not." -Bear sighed and sat in the truck trying to warm up-

"You...What are your friends like?" -Bear asked quietly-

-Bear frowned- "I- I shouldn't have asked I'm sorry." -Bear just looked up at the sky and it was silent for a while-

-Bear hugged the blanked around himself more- "I don't really know what else to say..."

"Anything you wanna ask me? I don't mind answering questions."-Bear said looking at Mike-

"Yeah though they don't know about Rio and the others it's kinda like I have two separate lives."

-Bear chuckled a little- "Yeah well I'm fine with stress, anyway it's unlikely they would be welcoming of each other."

-Bear paused for a second- "Well...Rios choice of career isn't something acceptable for society.. and all the other people I'm friends with are just normal college kids."

"I'm pretty sure anytime they notice I'm gone they think I'm doing drugs.." -Bear looked at his hands he felt kind of disappointed in himself-

-Bear just laughed it off- "Well that's my own fault who cares about their opinions anyway. So before Rio and Gabe get back you can ask me another question is you please."

"Well that's fine, looks like you wouldn't be able too anyway." -He pointed to Rio and Gabe coming to the truck- "Heyy guys!" -Rio said cheerful as always-

-Gabe was smiling which was a first- "It was great! I think I swallowed a leech!" -Gabe just looked at Rio and laughed they were both drenched-

-Bear gave Mike a thumbs up- "I made sure to save them towels I knew they'd come back drenched." -Bear handed them the towels and looked at the seats- "I'll take the drivers seat this time Rio looks tired and Mike because the only seat dry is the passenger seat come sit up here with me."

-Bear started the car and once they were driving Rio started talking- "Mikee anywhere you wanna go before the nights over?" -He asked rocking back and forth-

-Bear nodded and looked back at Rio and Gabe with a death star so they knew not to say anything stupid-

-Once they arrived Bear looked at Mike- "Do you want to go alone? Or would you like me to go with you." -Bear asked-

-Bear told the other two to wait there and followed Mike, he didn't want to say anything in case it came off as rude-

-Bear just frowned he felt really bad for Mike but didn't really know what to say-

-Bear nodded- "I- I'm sorry for your loss." -He said quietly-

-When they got there Rio nor Gabe made a stupid comment about going to the graveyard, honestly, they both looked a little less charismatic. Though Gabe not being a surprise it felt weird Rio was just sitting there-
