here is the wwyd:
you're a sailor, you've been on the sea ever since you could walk. One night, a large storm came in, making your caption (or you if you wanna be the captain) crash the ship. You fell in and all you remember was a dark shape above you and reaching for you before blacking out.
You awoke on dry land, your head in the lap of a man (who was only wearing an old tattered sail as a makeshift blanket/dress). He was staring at the ocean and humming a song. The song was some what hypnotic and eventually it got stuck in your head.

He stayed there for a while waking up properly but once he was actually awake he noticed what was happening and quickly moved away covering his ears, frightened.

The man stopped almost instantly and looked at him. unnaturally bright blue eyes attempting to pierce into him.
"you're awake.." his voice was soft and had a slight accent.
He scawoled at him slightly And stopped covering his ears "of course I am, thank you for saving me, But don't try your tricks on me siren." he said a bit bitter and got up
he tilted his head, fixing his face to look confused. "but..i wasn't trying anything.."
he fixed his face and put his head in place before speaking again. "i was waiting for you to wake up..to make sure you didn't drown."
"I was definitely breathing properly for a while." Glared at him slightly but went to look around that bit of land
he stood, wobbling a bit, waddling after him. he clearly wasn't used to legs, mumbling curses at them under his breath.
After a moment he noticed him following him and looked back "and why are you following me?"
he didn't answer, he just stared. Nerio didn't even try to think up a lie none he would have thought of would have worked anyway.
he stood silently for a moment more before slowly stepping closer.
he kept walking closer, holding tightly onto the torn sail. he seemed nervous, he didn't want him to leave him on his own. he didn't want to be by himself.
He kept stepping back, A little startled because he didn't even know why he was following him at the time
he suddenly picked up pace and walked faster, grabbing onto his arm. "don't leave-" he spoke quickly, in a hushed voice.
He yelped "I'm stuck here I can't" he said to him after a moment frightened
he stared up at him, gripping a bit tighter. for being such a tiny thing he was unusually strong. then again, he was nowhere near human.
He was still frightend and started shaking a bit, but didn't try to get away
he loosened his grip and eventually let go, staring at him again before backing up a bit. he didn't really mean to scare him, just keep him close.
He rubbed his arm slightly, completely silent and staying in the same place
he glanced around for a moment before sitting down in the sand. as much as he disliked being far from the water, he wanted to keep his new pet nearby.
(oh yeah you just got adopted :) )

He didnt want him to grab him again so he just sat down as well
"name." he didn't even look at him, staring at the water as it licked the sand and rocks.
he hummed. "Nerio"
he looked at him, thinking about getting closer.
"there's a town..up there." he pointed. "if you need things, its the place to go."
"then use the information for later." the siren blinked and looked at the water, watching as the sun started to go down. nights got cold here.
he shivered and moved closer to Dean, accidentally hitting his arm with his shoulder.
he ignored him for the most part, staring at the now rising moon.
it wasn't long before the half man half fish fell asleep, going limp beside him, leaning against his arm.
He slowly moved after a while attempting to get away from him and sneak to town
his body fell into the sand, it didn't wake him in any way. the most sound he made was a huff.

Upon waking up, Isfrid took a bot to scowl to herself. Well, that's another job she was going to try long-term crossed off the bucket list, she thought as she adjusted her slightly-damp scarf around her mouth. It took her a moment or two to comprehend the person she was near to, letting out a small yelp and rolling out of his lap

When he had noticed she was awake he stopped humming and looked at her. he seemed to back up a little bit, clutching the torn sail to his body tighter.
He looked her over from afar, fearing to get to close.
"Nerio."
he leaned forward a bit, trying to get a better look at the other being. he hadn't seen anything that looked like a female human in a long time, he was a bit amazed.
"ice?"
he lived where it was warm, he hadn't seen ice before.
"humans live nearby, there's a town up there.." he pointed looking at the direction. "i see them here often." he mumbled.
he put his arm down and held it close to his body again, deciding to not answer to, instead, stare.
"frozen water?"
Isfrid sighed quietly. "So there's like, a freezing point and boiling point to water. Which means if it gets too hot, water evaporates- which I'm sure you've seen here, this place is HOT- there's also the reverse with a freezing point"
"When water gets too cold, it basically turns into- solid water? If that's how you describe it. And it's cold. If this town has an ice machine I'll probably be able to show you"
he looked fascinated. his already unnaturally bright eyes seemed to get brighter.
"i wanna see solid water!"
She chuckled a bit at his excitement. Isfrid had pretty much lived her entire childhood in a Siberian wasteland, so she wasn't phased much by ice. It was interesting to see someone who had never seen ice before.
"All right- I'll go to the town and see if they have an ice machine. I'll be back in like, an hour or two"
"okay." he nodded, staring at her with wide eyes filled with childish excitement.
he was already anxious for her to come back with the ice.
he waited as patiently as he possibly could, he leg starting to bounce with energy, startling him for a moment.
once he saw her he sat up straight and smiled softly. he waited for her to get closer before saying anything.
