LinkHELLLPP MY FRIENDS KEEP TALKING TO ME ABOUT PERIOD STUFF EXPECTING ME T O RELAATE BECAUSE I HAVE LONG HAIR HELP HELPP HOW DO I EVEN TALK ABOT PISSING BLOOD I JUST PRETEND I UNDERSTAND IT SOMEONE HELP WHAT
its like a Cleansing. the lining builds up on the uterus to be like fertilized but if theres no fertilization it comes out
A lot of a period is hormones, hormones like estrogen pretty much chain start a period and cause it to be heavier (more blood)
If you take certain birth control, the birth control will have hormones or some way to affect the hormones
Especially estrogen which blocks the period from happening or atleast lessens it, it also thickens the inner part of the uterus (the lining) and also weakens the chances of sperm reaching the eggs, hence limiting the probability of getting fertilized/ pregnant
Yeah and estrogen also plays a role in skin health as well
That’s why people who take testosterone also tend to have more sensitive skin prone to breakouts
But fun fact, men have a balanced 28 day hormonal cycle where they’re constantly producing testosterone, while females have a much shorter one where they get testosterone, during they’re periods mostly
So that’s why women might be more moody, aggressive, and also can build muscle better during their periods. Because testosterone has that affect on people
So inside the vagina, past a ring called the cervix is an organ called the uterus
Every few weeks the uterus begins to prepare the body for impregnation/ getting fertilized so it sheds its inner lining and tissues, two little eggs on each side of the uterus ready to get some sperm in there
Everything gets replaced eventually but the shedding can be pretty painful causing cramps and heavy bleeding with some discharge in there too
I don’t get periods i just like human anatomy so correct me if I’m wrong on something
The blood will come out regardless, but tbh some people do have complete hymens which can stop the blood from coming out
The hymen is this thin stretchy piece of flesh around the entrance of the vagina that blocks out bacteria and keeps it springy, and they can sometimes be thicker or completely cover the vagina/ have a smaller opening not letting blood or discharge out
They gotta get surgically opened
