Desatura whatever there user is is like more political and woke though and uses a lot of terms that most ppl wom’t understand and get confused or turned off Honestly same

There’s been a couple users on this site that drew fat ppl and yk I never heard it talked about

Miso was one of them

I’ll just talk about the fat ppl thing bc it’s never talked abt But basically when miso was exposed and everything peoole started to talk about how weird there art was And that it was like weird fetish art But it’s something I’m like unsure about

What makes something fetish art and what makes something someone just prefers to draw or likes to represent?

I draw lanky figures a lot in my art but I try to represent some type of diversity in terms of body types when I can That being said I don’t draw fat people to the same degree Miso and other users had Well maybe not drawn because miso was tracing alot of art from another user offsite

I don’t like.. art that draws ppl the way miso did That doesn’t make them a horrible person or anything For some reason it just feels weird in my mind If people drew underweight ppl the same way miso did overweight ppl I would feel the same way I feel like it’s almost promoting a bad lifestyle? That isn’t to say that all overweight people or underweight people are just that way because of diet because illness and other factors go into fat distribution Having characters that a underweight, or overweight isn’t a crime or wrong in my opinion But when it comes to obesity or starvation I think it should be addressed it’s not something you should strive for It’s not something that is alright or positive it is a detriment to your health

That doesn’t mean you should tell obese people or severely underweight ppl to die or that they are ugly Because to me it’s not that fat people can’t be pretty because they can be I see it all the time in media I do have characters on both sides of the spectrum some are skinnier and some can be fatter but outright obesity idk That’s something you should work on, I never hated miso outright for there art, because people can draw whatever they want and it would be pointless

I feel like being slightly underweight or overweight is fine and sometimes fat distribution can make your body look outside of the status quo And I think you should love your body regardless but realize when something is unhealthy My characters have different body types to represent there living situation, mental health or life styles That also includes muscular characters, I hated drawing muscles and I still do but I’m implementing them into characters that would sensibly have muscles even if I’m shit at it If you have a fatter character because they don’t care about what they eat or don’t work out I’m not gonna hate you over that I feel like it’s realistic I’m overweight myself Bro isn’t even that heavy Camren 🏋️🏋️🏋️

I never see ppl just casually draw fat ppl on here is what I’m saying it’s either it’s the only thing you draw or you don’t draw it at all LOL

Idk as a character designer ( self proclaimed don’t check my records ) I think having a range of body types is important it helps get rid of repetition When people draw fat ppl all the time I’m not sure if I should feel differently because ppl draw average sized ppl all the time to and I don’t whine abt it Because fat doesn’t automatically mean obese it can mean slightly over the average or just chubby ( I hate using that worddawg)and to me that’s fine because people at that range might just have different lifestyles or mindsets but obesity is like a problem- it’s a issue and to draw it all the time without noting it’s a problem and making those characters seem happy and “just as normal as everyone else” isn’t right in my mind And ik its fictional and technically characters are capable of everything It’s just not realistic to me and that bothers me Doesn’t mean i’m harrassing or making claims agains ppl I can’t really have proof someone is Fetishizing something without there word

Obesity is a hindrance it’s a problem it affects your life in so many ways people with obesity get terminally depressed and it’s hard to recover from it Anything is possible in fiction but there’s just some content that I don’t like that irks me And content like that and vice versa if someone was drawing people severely underweight ppl all the time being happy and carefree I just wouldn’t dig it And that’s okay

Just ppl never talk about there feelings on it and I wanted to see how other ppl felt Because ALOT of ppl liked misos “art” ( it was traced ) so obviously a lot of ppl did like it So there’s probably a lot of ppl who feel differently then what I do And I’m not a asshole who thinks if someone doesn’t think the same way i do there wrong because I don’t LIKE hating different forms of content I don’t enjoy hating on art I feel that in some ways drawing that kind of art can be a way of coping to the artist if they dealt or are dealing with the same issue

Also I might have a personal bias and have a knack for drawing women with smaller chests because I have a smaller chest LOL so I get having biases in art and body types as well I NEVER see ppl like draw the body type I have so I just do it myself

THANKS it’s hard to really prove for certain what a artists motives are, even by analyzing there art I sometimes draw my characters without clothes and I wouldn’t want people to take it as a inappropriate innuendo when it’s not I avoid drawing the inappropriate parts that would technically make sense to drive the narrative that I’m not drawing characters nude because I want to make graphic content or to please myself or others It’s because I like drawing the body and there’s details I want to show that clothes would cover up And because I hate drawing clothes But people might interpret my art regardless as fetishization of women or I’m drawing something suggestive But to me I think what makes art suggestive is the motivation behind it and how the drawing is presented

The character is based off of my dream catcher actually it was originally bleach white but over the years it’s become brown and dusty But I’m dumb and I won’t change it because I had it sense I was a kid and it’s like the only thing I kept from my childhood home

Well I don’t see them as much and I agree they get no flack either when I do see them I would be weirded out the same to see a skinny fetish artist
