Hybrid takes place 400 years in the future, after scientists have found a way to mix animal DNA with human DNA. Soon, the population become replaced with human-animal hybrids, or humanoids. After about the first generation, more scientists even found ways to mix food and earth elements into people. Almost every human became replaced with a humanoid except one. The man’s name was Silo and he thought the hybrid race was was a mistake and went out of his way to turn people back into humans. Upon trying to find the right way to reverse the DNA, he accidentally opens a small portal into another dimension, getting sucked into it leaving only his shadow in the real world. Before the portal closed, a few other worldly creatures were released into the world. Silo’s physical body was now trapped in another dimension, but his shadow, or his silhouette, was still left behind on Earth. He eventually found out about a man named Andrew, who was one of the scientists who started the hybrid race.
