LinkA) You/your oc was walking through the local park. Perhaps they were passing through, perhaps they were there for the scenery, it didn't matter. Whatever the reason, it was pretty quickly forgotten when they heard something strange in the parks forest. It was hard to describe the sound, a low howl that..strangely seemed to sound in pain. You couldn't even tell how you knew it was pained, but it definitely was.
B) There was a house in your town that had been long since abandoned and had become somewhat of a local ghost tale. Sure, the stories were mostly just to scare kids from snooping some days, but you could swear the house gave a weird..aura, to say the least. You usually stayed away from the house, just because it gave off a weird vibe, but today you jsut happened to pass it on your way home. There was an old, gunmetal gray van parked outside of it with faded letters on the sides, so faded you couldn't really read them. When you'd tried to get a better look, mostly to satisfy a curiosity, you suddenl

Linkme when preparing for the ACT tmr takes up all my time
There was a heavy thud from above that had dust fall and block the window even more. The pain was dirtied and cracked, but it looked into a house that had burned long ago. It was clear someone had been endite recently, a trail of footsteps on the ground, but it was hard to seen anything else throught the grime covered window
The thuds continued above, it was almost as if there was some sort of struggle up there.
When he’d walk toward the door of the house, it was wide open. It lead into a scorched living room , the footsteps still leading into a hallway. The place was adorned with plenty of stuff, but everything was just as burned as the house..except for a few things..
A few picture frames, some on a table and some on a wall, remained untouched. Then there seemed to be something glittering from under the couch
The moment he reached the upper floor and yelled out, there was a blinding flash of light form one of the open rooms and another scream. Something shot out of the door and past him, and Daniel could've sworn it looked like a glowing young woman. However the second the specter would've collided with him, it dispersed into a mist of cold air.
There was shuffling as a man scrambled out of the room with wide eyes, looking out only to see the stranger. He looked disheveled, there was a burn mark on the sleeve of his jacket, that almost looked like some sort of college Letterman. He had a trange contraption of goggles haphazardly strewn on his head looking like they'd fall off at any moment. He looked at Daniel with fear at first, that is, until he realized he was a living person, "Where'd she go?!"
Jesse seemed to stumble a bit, quickly brushing past Daniel to look down the stair well, "Well, a ghost!" He said it like it was the most obvious answer in the world. then he seemed to hesitate, looking at Daniel like clarity finally hit, "Wait who even are you?" he asked quickly, stepping back again like he was growing worried why some random guy had shown up in the middle of the commotion. He looked alive enough.
"Well- yeah a ghost!" He nodded quickly, waving his hands like he was gesturing to the house around them, "This place is haunted, didn't you see the spirit?" he asked, then seeming to notice what he'd said first, " Also My van isn't that old!! It just needs a touch up! And you really shouldn't be here-" he huffed, starting to walk back into the room to grab his things
Its okay!! I apologize for how slow ie been!)
Ẅ-wait!" he yelped out when the man started scaling down the stairs, quickly followign to stop him. The moment Daniel neared the bottom step, a hand shot out from one of the clean pictures on the wall, shooting out to reach for him. the air around him suddenly grew cold as the ghostly hand blocked his path, growing long nails
you get pink coat lady. i havent used ehr in a while/
A btw/
Navarii froze at the sound of the howl, ears swiveling to locate where it came from. Without a second thought, she started towards the forest, determined to figure out what produced the sound. Sure, it could be something dangerous, but in the event something /was/ hurt, she wanted to see if she could help.
YIPEEE))
As Navarii followed the sound, it wouldve brought her deep into the forest. The closer she got, the more she would hear rustling and heavy thuds.
Then, she'd see him. It was a large .. being? At first sight he'd have the silhouette of a large man, he was sitting on the ground, turned away like he was looking at something on the ground. Then he seemed to jerk back with another cry of pain, his skin seeming to glint..green in the moonlight? With a closer look, it was clear whatever this was, it wasn't human. His skin shone an opalescent green and blue, or as much as you could see while he was turned away at least.
There was something akin to a chirp as the being yelped at the voice, jumping in surprise. His head whipped around to see her, his eyes wide with fear as he began to scramble to his feet. He was a towering being, reaching something close to nine feet tall. HIs 'hair' resembled the clubs of a squids limbs the two over his shoulders seeming to have strange bands over them. HIs eyes resembled the rectangular pupils of a goats.
That was when you'd be able to notice that, despite the blue-green colors most of his body showed, one of his legs faded into a pale white. There was a hunters trap digging into the skin of it, a deep blue blood of sorts was oozing from the wound it was creating
He slowly nodded again, his chest heaving a little as he watched her for any sign she wasnt really harmless. Slowly, he opened hsi mouth to speak, almost seeming to think for a moemnt like he had to figure out the word he needed.
"..Hunter." His voice was deep, rumbling the word in some strange accent, like he wasn't used to using the syllables English had to offer. He then pointed to the trap, and then to her his heald tilted, it seemed her were asking if it were hers. Maybe he was assuming she were a hunter?
You could clearly see him relax a little at her response. Honestly a little too quick to beleive, but all he knew was that she seemed harmless and said she wasn’t a hunter. His colors seemed to change slightly, to a more blue and purple, though his leg remained eight.
He slowly slid back to the ground, leaning against the tree as he haphazardly tried to pull at the trap for freedom
XD this is my time to call you a nerd /j)
The secodn the traps pressure release off his leg, he jerked it back and out of its grasp with a shaky gasp. He quickly clung to his leg, which he was certainly grateful it was free now but /damn/ did it hut when the wound his fresh air. He let out a nother groan in pain, backing awayf rom the trap like it was the start to some plague
/ you wouldnt be wrong 😭
She placed the trap on the ground, grabbing a stick and triggering it so it couldn't catch something else. No use leaving it lying out in the open.
"Can you walk?" She asked. She wasn't entirely sure what to do, considering she only really kept water and bandages on her and her house was too far away to go there and back.
MWAHAHAHAH)
Keyvidian glanced down as he started to stand once more, trying his best not to put a lot of weight on his foot. the skin seemed to ripple with white, though his blood was beginning to almost crystillize now that the trap wasn't holding the wound open
"Kinds." he said, though then looking to her again as he spoke quietly, "Why do you help..?"
Option B
Abi!
Liiiittle bit of an inhuman being, though she will look like the right image/right half. Basically looks like a person but with really dang pale skin, a blindfold where her eyes should be, and a facemask.
Funny thing is Abi is actually technically undead in a way because she's the fusion of a bunch of soul fragments of vampires. Long story. But putting it down in case ghost hunter man's can recognize it))
The piercing shriek echoed through the air as Abi stood outside the eerie abandoned house. Her ears rang slightly at the sound of the sudden scream as her head darted up from the letters she seemed to be examining - despite wearing a blindfold, oddly enough, as if the blindfold didn't matter.
She swung a small cane in her right hand- the type that blind people would use to help them feel their surroundings - before lifting it off the ground and holding it poised. She silently walked to the house as she held the cane above the ground, as if she really didn't need it.
There were muffled sounds from in the house, more audible the closer she got but it was clear she wouldnt be able to hear much more from outside of it.
The door to the old house was ajar, though it was hard to see into from outside with how dark it was. ONce Abi would step toward the door, shed be able to see dust falling from the ceiling as footsteps thudded quietly above
Abi looked through the door, looking through into the local area. She almost seemed to not care about the darkness much- Abi wasn't a creature of the light. Her older self - well what composed of her multiple older selves - actually was meant to live in the darkness.
She entered the house, glancing upwards - despite wearing a blindfold it seemed - and noticing the dust. She looked around the room, trying to examine more
The door seemed to open into a living room, though the house was clearly worn and weathered. A lot of the wood was blackened, as if the house may have been through a fire before it had been deserted so long ago. there were even remnants of rotted and scorched furniture and items.
then, strangely enough, there were things out of place. Picture frames that didn't look burned like the rest. foot steps were clear through the dust and ash on the ground. some things seemed to have been brushed off recently, like someone was trying to see through the grime. Somewhere under what used to be a couch, there was a glinting light of something silver.
Weird... Abi thought to herself. She had seen some odd stuff in the time she was- alive? Was that how it counted in her- ah, it wasn't the time to question her own existence. Right now, it was time to question what was right in front of her, what was wrong with this house.
Definitely abnormal, she thought. Most likely something relating to that scream she heard earlier... Though these picture frames and stuff. That wasn't normal. And if these were frames of the family that possibly used to live here, then there was definitely supernatural influence.
She wasn't facing the light, yet noticed it. Her vision didn't rely on regular line of sight. Being gifted sight after being blind tended to... Have some odd side effects. She turned to face it nonetheless to get a better look, staying a distance away, she kneeled down to check what the light was
It appeared there was some sort of..locket? it looked oddly clean given its state under the couch and against the floor. There was definitely a strange aura from it So much so, in fact, that if Abi would get close to pick it up, she'd feel a chill begin to take to the air. Not in the literal sense, I mean that the air around the locket was actually /cold/ as if it were a block of ice or something.
Once she'd quietly make it up to the top of the stairwell, she'd be looking into a hallway that matched the rest of the house. There were even parts of the roof that had holes from where fire had scorched right into the attic. However, that wasn't even the most interesting thing.
Strangely enough, there was a glowing light coming from one of the rooms. the footsteps even lead to it as well. the orange glow flickered slowly, you'd almost expect there to be fire if it weren't for the cold temperature in the air
Abi gently waved a hand through the air to feel it better, examining her own hand quietly. She snorted quietly to herself, as if laughing at a joke she made- or at a mistake she had forgotten. She shook herself off, glancing at the holes through the roof before turning away from them.
The odd orange light. The footsteps. Maybe that was where the curious thing came from? But- it was very odd... she thought to herself quietly as she walked in the direction, pausing to examine other parts o the hall as she walked
The hall had about foor doors in it, thoguh the one closest was the one that was currently glowing. The actual door itself was in shambles, like it had benn burst through, though dust coated the splintered wood.
Inside, there was a figure of a young woman in the middle of the room. ther body was glowing brightly, enough that with was kinda hard to keep your eyes on her. she had an arm outstretched toward a man who was slumped on the ground. His face was scrunched with pain as he clutched his chest, which was slowly starting to glow the same as her
"What in the name of all that is in the unknown outside of the abyss that I am watching here?" No qualms for her own safety at this point, Abi spoke as she stared at this odd scene. The blindfolded part of her face- where her eyes would seem to be covered by the pitch-black attire- was staring directly at this scene. It was hard to read her facial expression- having her eyes covered up by a blindfold and her mouth by a mask actually hid most of it.
The spirit twisted with another ear splitting scream the moment it heard Abi, quickly looking to her. With a flash of blinding like, she almost seemed to just up and disappear
There was a sharp Gasped from Jesse when the ghost disappeared, and he twisted a little as he held his chest wtih a groan. The light there had also faded. He looked to Abi, seeming puzzled and a little wary now, "W-what- who are you-" he wheezed
"Abi is my name- what the hell did I just see? I try walking home and pass this house on one day and someone screams like a literal demon from hell, and believe me I know. That's on me for getting lost and taking a different route to once" She glanced at where the spirit once was, though it was hard to tell she was staring with her blindfold. She rested her cane on the floor once more, tapping it quietly before her head tilted in Jesse's direction
"What kind of supernatural convention is happening around here-" he muttered to himself as he gingerly started to stand up, looking at her puzzled. It was pretty clear he could tell she wasn't human, but he wasn't sure /what/ she was.
He brushed himself off before continuing to speak as he grabbed his camera that had been lying on the ground. He worriedly checked for damages, "This place is haunted-" he explained nonchalantly
"I can slightly tell. Frozen amulet, the unburnt paintings, the bright glow, and most of all, the literal spirit doing who knows what cause I don't" Abi commented, her head tilting a bit more as her blindfolded face stared at him as if she could see just fine. There was a bit of an odd thing about the blindfold and mask- they actually didn't reflect light whatsoever, and were pretty much pitch black.
"Also, since I can tell you know I'm not a regular mortal, I got no idea what the hell I am except for pretty much my name and piecing together my history. Abi is short for a much longer name but it's. A bit of a pain to say every time" She stretched her arms, glancing at her hands after a bit. She clenched and unclenched them, for a second the skin flickering away to reveal a completely skeletal look, before they returned to normal
His eyes widened at the second, seeming to perk up at the sight, curiously he looked up at her, his head tilted, "Are you connected to this house too..?" he asked curiously, glancing back, "Is that why she disappeared when you came in?" he seemed to study her for a moment, questions running throguh his mind.
"Good Lazarus, no." Abi shuddered a small bit.
"I've been avoiding this place like the damn plague or those dang hunters. Hell, I don't even know why I came in except for the fact you - I'm assuming that shriek was you - was screaming your head off. I don't know why she disappeared- well I am quite odd but still."
She tapped her cane against the floor, spinning it across her hands before she rested the bottom of it against the floor, leaning on it gently.
He shook his head quickly, pointing where the ghost had been, "Its her thats screaming." he said, frowning, "You really shouldn't have come in, this house is..problematic,"
He spoke the word with hesitance like he was wary of insulting the building. He glanced around, starting to step out the room to glance down the hallway
"Hell, if anything I interacted with wasn't some form of different, I'd be bloody impressed. Also because I think my most recent form of self was way too risk taking. I had some more conservative bits but. Stuff just happens" Abi shrugged, staring at the spot where she had witnessed the ghost before turning in his direction again.
"Also, how do you two- legged types even handle it? These things are so awkward yet natural at the same time due to past selves. It's aggravating."
He looked at her, puzzled.
"..What are you talking about, miss..?" he asked, feeling entirely lost at this point. he adjusted his jecket, returning his back to try and pack it up. he would need more than what he had with him for this house, and he had yet to understand the gjost. All he knew was that this stranger had probably jsut saved his life and now she was speaking in what felt like gibberish
"I ain't human, you already know that. You'd probably not get the context whatsoever - actually. I'm just going to show you. You clearly deal with the supernatural, but don't tell anyone else or I'm dissolving your arms off. Also, please don't scream."
As she spoke, she seemed to. Change. Her skin on her hands seemed to melt off, color twisting and melting into this dark black substance before it faded away, revealing that her hands were skeletal. This same substance seemed to twist on her shirt as a visible sternum, ribs, and spine showed through. Large black Raven wings formed on her back, and her legs seemed to twist and melt together into a pitch-black snake tail, the tip showing bones.
Cont
The most vivid change happened to her face, though. It twisted and seemed to shimmer, a visible skull showing for a second before it twisted into a much larger skull that covered her top half of her face. As a matter of fact, the skull seemed to actually be part of her head, fused with the rest. Long, thick, spider - shaped black spikes, similar to horns, poked out from under her hair. And the final change- from the back of her head, where the edge of the blindfold was - odd, since the blindfold seemed to no longer be there on the front of her head since the skull replaced the front- black, voidy arms extended outwards and grabbed onto Abi's horns, one of them clasping onto the mask on her face, also seeming to meld in.
After DEFINITELY revealing she was not human, her skull tilted at him.
"Boo." She stated plainly.
Jesse's eyes widened with startled surprise, staggering backwards with a small yelp. He certainly wasnt expecting her to start shifting into whatever creature this was. Sure, he's seen his share of the supernatural, plenty of shifters every once in a while, but not like this. He stammered something in what sounded like french as he looked to her.
"Holy- what /are/ you?!" He exclaimed in some mix of fear and fascination. he was tempted to take a picture, wanting to note down this change as well.
"Abi- or as this little dwarf called me- the Abyssal Snake of Foregone Eons. Honestly, I just kept that as a name, very dramatic. Quite fun" She slithered across the floor, grabbing her cane and draping it across her snake tail as the cane seemed to just. Clip through and dissolve into it.
"Basically the formulation of a bunch of cured vampire shards, whether the former vampire lived or not. Basically was the abyss in there until it shattered, so I have no idea what I really am except for that. What brought upon this, I don't know. I just remember very very old years with gaps in time until that day."
