Linkeither your a miner for the sake of this rp or you work for a mining or capturing facility you were told to go underground in the deserts to find some ancient artifacts. while down there you fall down a hole and into a cave. after regaining awareness you see this.
hehe they're deep sleepers
and the only way to tell if they're asleep or not is to listen for their snoring.
Bound: *he heard the snoring slightly as he started looking for an escape route* ...
-there were a series of tunnels throughout the cave, one leading back up where he had fell-
(Miner.)
Bound: *he looked around and listened for the sound of wind through one of the tunnels*
-again, the one above. But it was sandy and has nothing to grip onto due to it yknow being sand-
Bound: *he sighed and sat down slightly, when he sat down he just stared at the Dune and her eggs* ...
Bound: *he thought for a moment before getting up and approaching the Dune, putting a hand on the middle of it's snout softly*
She stopped snoring then began to lick Bound, clearly now awake and thinking it was one of her babies.
Bound: *he blinked and pulled away slightly* ....Wow...a real Dune..
She gave a soft roar and pulled him close, continuing to lick him and start to cuddle him.
Bound: *his eyes widened a bit and he chuckled* This is actually kinda nice.
She sniffed him and felt the fur on his face, suddenly realizing he wasn't one of her babies. She pulled away and clutched her eggswith her tail, backing into a corner eith a scared roar.
Bound: *he blinked and looked at her, his calm and non threatening voice soft* I-I'm not here to hurt you...I fell in here and I need help out.
Bound: *he started panicking, not sure what to do as he just started patting the Dune's snout gently* ...
Bound: *he started freaking out even more, curling up into a ball and whining*
"Bound!!" Another miner called from the tunnel above. "Are you okay in there? We're getting help!"
Bound: Yeah I'm fine! I found something great but I don't want anything to be done to them!
"Woah really?? Can you get an egg or two? Those are a pretty rare find!"
Bound: Fvck no! They are STAYING HERE! If I catch ONE of you trying to steal these eggs I will send you ALL through the rock grinder!!
"Okok fine, je-ah-SHIT!" The sand began falling, Bound now trapped underground.
Bound: -_- Fvcking idiots. *he shook his head slightly and sighed*
The mother Dune came back in, curling around the eggs to protect them from falling sand.
(What if the Dune speaks to him-)
Bound: *he stared at the Dune while he covered his head* ...
(( then that wouldnt ve a Dune now would it ))
She roared for Bound to come over and under her.
(XD I guess.)
Bound: *he rushed to her and slid under her quickly, curling up close so he could be covered*
Bound: *he closed his eyes and held his breath for if the sand reached him*
-soon the sand fell on them. She was fine due to the filters.-
She gripped him and her eggs, sliding through the sand and making a tunnel upwards to the surface.
Bound: *he held his breath and covered his mouth and nose, keeping his eyes shut tight*
Bound: *he breathed in deeply and opened his eyes wide, panting heavily from almost having to breathe in sand* ...Thank...Thank you...
The other miners and diggers seemed amazed at what they were seeing.
She cooed softly and nuzzled him, licking sand off him.
Bound: *he got up slowly and smiled, petting the side of her head gently and looking at the other miners* I told you. A Dune and her eggs.
She purred.
They didnt talk, afraid the Dune would be scared by their voices
Bound: *he pat her head and walked up to the miner who asked for the eggs, he was a bit shorter than him but he glared up at him with gruesome eyes* You disgust me. Trying to steal a mothers children. Especially when they are endangered. Leave this digsite now or face the consequences.
He whimpered and backed away. "S-sorry....captivity might keep them alive..."
She curled around her eggs.
Bound: No. Captivity kills more animals than in the wild. Now leave before I get my pistol and shoot you in the knee
He couldnt leave because its a digsite stoopid but instead he got into a car and curled up
Bound: *he groaned and shook his head in disappointment* Always more people trying to get out of work..
Bound: *he looked at the Dune and smiled, walking back to her and sitting down next to her*
She laid her head in his lap.
"Wow..." A worker said, taking a picture.
Bound: *he closed his eyes and leaned back on her, sighing happily* ...
Bound: Because I gained her trust. She trusts me and I trust her. *he kept his eyes closed but it was obvious he knew where everyone was*
"Do you think maybe....we could come touch her too..?"
A few others seemed excited at the thought.
Bound: Maybe. Let her smell you first. *he sighed a bit and put his hands behind his head*
A few of them eagerly got off the mining equipment and slowly approached them.
She whined a bit and curled up tighter.
Bound: *he quickly held up a hand to stop them* No. Nevermind. She doesn't want to from what I can tell.
One of the managers scoffed. "You're acting like just because she likes you you're a king. Well there's still work to do. And this is delaying it."
Bound: Delaying? More like protecting. That dumbass wanted to steal the eggs from her because they are "rare". And I bet everyone else here was thinking the same thing. So no. It is not "delaying".
"It is. Now let her go back to the underground where she belongs. Or I'll do it myself. We're here to find artifacts. Not Dunes."
Bound: *he nodded and got up, petting her head gently* Go home. I'll come back later.
She didnt understand, roaring a bit and nuzzling her head under his paw.
Bound: Go home. Back undergound. *he pet her head a bit more, trying to tell her with touch*
She only read it as a sign of love, purring.
The manager sighed and got up, walking towards her to scare her off.
Bound: *he glared at him and huffed, walking off to his workplace*
She squeaked and buried back underground with her eggs.
He rolled his eyes. "Back to work everybody!"
Bound: *he sighed and started digging in the spot he was told to dig before*
About half an hour passes, and then two ears pop out in front of Bound.
Bound: *he looked around and waved his hand to tell her to go*
Bound: Go home please. I don't want to scarey you away and lose you.
Bound: *he whispered under his breath and started petting her head a bit* ...You're not listening. Go home before they try to do something to you.
Bound: *he sighed a bit and went off to put the shovel up since it was almost dark*
Bound: *he looked at her and smiled a bit, petting her head gently*
The baby meowed.
She nuzzled his legs more.
"Bound!" The manager called. "Find somethin?"
Bound: No! I'm coming back now! *he pat her head and started walking off*
The baby curled into his arms.
She tiltes her head and followed him.
Bound: *he carried the baby until he got to got to his cabin, setting the baby down* I sleep here so if you need me come by.
Bound: *he pat the baby's head gently and smiled* Be a good baby for your momma okay?
He meowed loudly, wanting to be picked up again.
"Bound!!" The manager called.
Bound: *he panicked for a second then picked up the baby again* What?!
He looked at the baby Dune. "While I admit that's cute, I want to discuss something else."
He looked back up at Bound. "You've inspired me, Bound. I would like to offer you a place in a..."higher pay" if you will. Are you interested?"
Bound: ...Um...okay? Will I be leaving here? Because if I am I will not.
"No, you will live here still. You have a connection to these creatures," He said as he stroked the chonky baby, "so I want you to live with them. Become the father to all per sé."
Bound: *his eyes widened a bit and he smiled* Well...thank you. That means a lot to me. I will accept that offer.
"While living here I want you to gather infortmation on them. Water supplies and food will be brought daily to you as well, so you don't have to go out so far. Anywho, collect info and report back. Thats all I ask. No samples, no stealing and captivating, no nothing. Deal?"
Bound: Yes. Of course. *he looked happy and held out his hand*
He gripped his hand and shook it. "Good." He smiled. "If you need anything for better living just contact me. You are free to leave."
Bound: Yeah. I knew that. *he smiled a bit and hugged the baby*
Bound: *he cuddled the baby and smiled happily* When is it starting?
Bound: *he nodded a bit and looked at the mother Dune* I'm staying.
Bound: *he blinked and looked at the baby before putting it on the ground* What's with that look sir?
"Can you just leave my office now?" He rolled his eyes.
Ths baby squealed angrily at being put down.
Bound: *he cuddled the baby as he walked out, smiling happily*
Bound: *he walked off to his cabin and laid down with the baby*
Bound: Good boy. *he closed his eyes and set his head on top of the babys head*
Bound: Hmm..I should give you a name. How about Barley? *he smiled a bit, hoping her liked it*
Bound *he fell asleep completely and purred loudly, hugging Barley close to him*
*the next morning*
Bound: *he snored softly and kept hugging Barley close to him*
Bound: *he purred and rolled over onto his back, letting Barley lay on his chest*
