Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was an American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, businesswoman, model, actress, and fashion designer. Referred to as the "Queen of Tejano music", her contributions to music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century. She was shot dead by the president of her fanclub, Yolanda Salvidar, who had been committing fraud against the other members of her fanclub. Salvidar pleaded not guilty, claiming she was trying to commit suicide, but justice prevailed and she was sentenced to prison.
It's fine. There's a movie and a netflix tv series. The movie is just called Selena. It was released in 1997 starring Jennifer Lopez as Selena.
