It's cute. Sure. Lot's of ship art and content. Cool. You do you.
But a lot of controversy also comes with it... Here's MY opinion on it.
I personally think it's a... pretty mediocre ship for 2 reasons.
1) Russia and America have been enemies for such a long time, and shipping enemies together is kinda weird. Even in the fandom it says that they're enemies and are constantly pretty much at eachother's throats, they're constantly fighting. Their history hasn't been the most positive.
2) Russia, a homophobic country, who is depicted as male, wouldn't FEEL romantic/sexual attraction to America, who is ALSO depicted as male, because that'd be homosexual. A homophobic person wouldn't BE homosexual, it doesn't make sense. And sure, the 'internalised homophobia' headcanon is a thing, but I personally don't see it.
Overall, the ship doesn't make much sense, which is why I stopped shipping it as soon as I found out about this stuff

-Almost had a Nuclear War.
-Now Russia lawfully doesn't hate homos, they have no legal protections but that STILL DOES NOT MAKE THIS SHIP VAILD.
-It doesn't make sense + Alaska (who is Russian) having them shipped would be werid
