It'd been around a month since Scarab fell in the river. She was sitting by a tree, in the hunting grounds. She had learned a lot in the short month. Better hunting and fighting skills, and about the place. Her so called ''mentor'' was Jupiter, the leader of the group. Even though she had grown, she still found the giant calico scary. Who knows, she could squash her with a paw! She thought about her old friends. Her parents, Eln, Axxa.. she figured they didn't care, and thought she was dead. If they didn't care about her, she sure didn't care about them. They're probably looking for me, but that's whatever. I've found a new home, and I'm perfectly happy here. What about them? Are they happy? Safe? Looking for me? Worries and thoughts kept stacking ontop of her, until she thought she couldn't breathe.

I have to find them! They're my family.. my first ever, and best friends! She suddenly shot up, and ran. She skidded, nearly slipping into the stone hollow. Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter were confronting multiple cats. Although outnumbered, their size and strength would probably outmatch them. One was a small, fluffy dark grey she-cat. A thin, black she-cat with yellow eyes flanked her. A brown tom, with lighter flecks and darker swirls was with them. Same with a pale grey tom, and at the front a scarred, large ginger tabby. They were snarling at eachother, their hackles raised. Jupiter took a threatening step towards them. The grey and white tom abruptly lunged itself at the calico. Suddenly, a she-cat darted infront of Jupiter, and took the hit directly. She held back a gasp. The two cats tussled for a moment, and the she-cat eventually batted the tom away. The only thing the she-cat seemed to suffer was some torn ears, and a small scratch.

The dark brown cat seemed winded, as she had flopped over and was huffing. Scarab finally leaped down, and stood by the stranger. She faintly heard the other mysterious cats arguing. She glanced over, they were walking out with glares back towards her. She stared into the she-cat's blank, yellow eyes. It was almost as though she wasn't even there, or didn't know she was. Can she even see? Scarab thought, slightly tilting her head. The she-cat mimicked her movement. Then, she can see, she thought. "Who are you?" Scarab said. "Who are you?" the she-cat meowed. "Scarab." "Leaf." "Uh.. nice to meet you, Leaf." "Nice to meet you, Scarab."

"Who are the rest of you?" Leaf meowed, standing. "Jupiter. That's Mars and Saturn." Leaf simply stared at them. Mercury slipped out of one of the dens. "What's going on?" he asked. "Who are you?" "Uh.. Mercury." "I'm Leaf." "Okay." "That's Star, and her kittens, Quartz, Onyx, and Dapple." Leaf glanced over at the cats who emerged from the caves. "That's Neptune, Elliot, and her two kittens, Apple and Opal. Along with Fang and Sand." "I'm Leaf. Nice to meet all of you." She glanced at Mercury, who returned her gaze. He seemed as uncomfortable as her, and sorta tensed.

"Is this where you live? It's sorta small, don't you think? What do you eat?" "Yes, this--" "Who were those cats? Are they evil? Do they steal?" Scarab looked away while Leaf went on, asking question after question. The others had either went into their dens, or out to hunt, probably. She climbed out of the hollow, and made her way to the river shore. She settled down, and took a drink. She raised her head and looked around shortly after, shaking water off her whiskers. Suddenly, something ran straight into her.
