Scarab shivered, coughing and vomiting water. The feeling of water in her throat and belly was even more unsettling. The events just before flashed in her mind. The booming thunder, crashing rain. At least you're alive, she thought. She recalled the words Axxa had said to her on the edge she had clung to. "You're special. You have an entire destiny before you," the tom had said. Scarab simply stared at him, her eyes huge. The tabby had stared off at the sky. "When green, grey, blue, and orange rise, be warned of the cat with just one eye." Thunder suddenly boomed, and out of fright, Scarab had slipped. She had scrambled down the slope, and forgot most things after. "Little one, wake up."

She jolted awake. She wildly glanced around. Where am I? Who are these people? "Calm down, you're safe." Scarab looked up at the cat speaking to her. Suddenly, the memories came flooding back. Oh right! These cats had helped me, and let me stay with them. Although, no one had shared names. She stared at the tabby she-cat infront of her. "Who.. who are you?" Scarab mewed. "I'm Elliot, also, keep your voice down." She tlited her head. "We're the only ones up. The kits are sleeping." "Oh." she mumbled. She looked around the dim cave. Her thoughts drifted to her friends and family. What would they be doing now, without me? Are they alright? Are they looking for me? What about what Axxa said? What could it mean?

"Little one, good morning." A gentle voice meowed behind her. She shook herself, clearing her thoughts. She looked behind her, tilting her head. Behind her, in the same moss bed was a calico tom. Half of his face was orange, the other black. "Hi. Good morning." she squeaked. "Say, what's your name?" "Scarab." "Well, nice to meet you, Scarab. You okay? I mean, you nearly drowned." "Yeah, just a bit tired." she meowed. "I'll be back in a moment." The tom stood, and slid out of the cave. A moment later, his head peeked out from the entrence of the room. "C'mon! Everyone else is awake." She glanced at him. Elliot stood up, gently nudging her two kittens. "Wake up, you two." she mumbled.

One of them, a totoiseshell, stood up, yawning. The other, a small calico, followed. Elliot turned her head towards a white she-cat. "Star. Wake up." The she-cat blinked drowsily, but stood. She softly nuzzled her kittens awake. A black she-kit, the others a black and white tom. They made their way out, after their mothers. Scarab followed them to the entrence. "You mean, you go outside in the rain?" she mewed, slightly shocked. "You can't change the weather with the flick of a tail, can you?" She simply stared at Mercury. "Obviously not." "Exactly. It's also better to get used to the rain. It tends to rain a lot, here." She flattened her ears, and grudgingly walked out.
