BACKGROUND: left home at a young age because of an emotionally abusive family member, probably their aunt or uncle (still a WIP). They got some jobs around, and eventually started to care for themself. Paya does their best to ignore their past. The memories and nightmares are getting worse.
LORE: Parents just left them at their aunt's place, bc they didn't wanna have to take care of a baby. And since their aunt was also mentally abusive, Paya was kinda forced to smile all the time and not be sad or cry. Their aunt said it was, "a waste of your time looking for someone to care, and a waste of my time trying to care". So they don't really like showing their negative emotions, and it gets really bad. They also tend to have intrusive thoughts, probably some leftover from their aunt.
