Slowly Six sat up, her head throbbed in pain. Scrapping on the ground caused her to look over to see the Janitor dragging a cage out of the room. “Are you alright?” a voice piped up once the door closed behind the Janitor. Six looked down towards the voice to see an odd dragonet with gray-blue scales, and white horns. Long white spikes went down his head and stopped at the bottom of his neck, webbing connecting the spikes. The odd dragonet looked up at her, and she got a good look at his eyes, the whites of his eyes were dark blue, and his actual eye color was aqua green. “You were thrashing around in your sleep,” the dragonet stated, a worried look plastered on his face. Six quietly huffed, she didn’t have time to talk to a random dragonet, so she started looking around trying to figure a way out of the cage. “Your cage is elevated,” the dragonet said, “Try and get it to fall onto the ground, maybe it’ll burst open”. Six looked down at the dragonet, then at her cage and started to body slam the cag

After a few times she was able to knock the cage down. It fell and landed with loud clattering onto ground, Six hissed having landed on her bad wing, and looked up to see the top of the cage had busted off. Slowly she slid out of the opening, careful of her bad wing as she got out of the cage. “Hay!” the dragonet whispered. Six huffed and looked over at the dragonet annoyed. “Can you let me out?” he asked, “The key’s right up there”. He pointed up above a few of the cages. Six sighed, as much as she wanted to leave the dragonet behind, he had helped her and felt like she had to help him. With that she turned her attention to the key to the cadges. She climbed the cages below the key with ease. Six readied herself then jumped up, grabbing the key, and kicked off the wall to get the key off it’s hook. Her and the key landed on the ground with a clatter and a thud, she cried out in pain when she landed, louder than she would have liked. Slowly she pushed herself up, and looped her tail around the key.

Her body ached as she made her way to the cage the strange dragonet was inside. Un-looping the key from around her tail she placed the key into the lock and unlocked the cage the strange dragonet was in. The cage door creaked as he opened it slowly, smiling shyly at Six. “I was worried for a moment that you wouldn’t get the key and let me out. Thank you…” he stopped, waiting for her to fill in her name. She rolled her eyes, “Six”. “Thank you Six,” he paused, looking at her bad wing, “Are you alright?” Six glared, turning her bad wing away from him, “I’m fine,” she hissed. “But-” he tried. “I said I’m fine! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some escaping to do,” Six growled, as she turned to leave. “You’re not fine! You fell twice and both times were kind of my fault. Look, I know someone who can help you,” he said as he walked to Six’s side. She turned and glared at him, “You’re not going to let this go are you?”

He smiled kindly, “Nope, now if you’d follow me to the Hide Away, her and her small group should be there”. Six sighed, “Fine. But I’m only going so I can get my wing fixed up”. The strange dragonet nodded, “Alright I get it. Oh by the way my name’s Seven, but you can call me RD if you wanna,” he started walking away. “Why would I call you RD?” Six asked as she followed behind, honestly having no idea where this ‘Hide Away’ was. “Short for Runaway Dragonet, it’s what most call me. Most likely due to the amount of escape attempts I’ve pulled,” Seven replied, as they passed by a dragon with the tip of their tail cut off. “Poor sandwing,” Seven whispered. “Why did you call them a ‘sandwing’?” Six questioned, remembering how that shadow had called her ‘rainwing’ in her dream. “Let me guess, lived on the Maw for as long as you can remember, so you don’t know the dragon tribes?” Seven replied, looking over his shoulder at Six with kind eyes. In return Six gave him a puzzled look, “Tribes?” she questio

Seven nodded and started looking forwards again, “Yes there lets see, 9 tribes, due to one of them being wiped out sometime before I was born,” he hummed to himself for a moment, “It’s hard to explain them with out a tribe book, there’s one at the Hide Away, I can explain it better there”. Sighing Six nodded, a bit disappointed that she was left with questions that had yet to be answered.
