LinkSo uh, basically your oc is walking in this graveyard and they see a young boy sitting in front of a grave with a single daisy, he seems to me talking to the grave itself,,hes kinda- crying, so they assume it's one of his relatives that he's talking to,, (correct,)

awh,, poor boy,, time to introduce the Sawyer wait no sawyers on a trip,, aight Mendigo time))
Mendigo approaches the child, he'd also gone to visit the grave of a loved one (aka wife) but decided to go see what was up with Sage, since well, friends with his fathe unit. "hey, you alright?"

"I was just coming her to bring Marissa some flowers." he in fact has a basket of roses and thing of wine in it. "But you looked lonely." he sits down next to him. "Your mother, right?" he gently removes one of the roses and places it on the grave.

"Oh,," He sighs,, "Yeah,, she died when I was 9- she was at sea. We didn't even have a proper funeral, her body was lost with the ship-.."
Sage's hand starts to tremble as he put the daisy next to the grave and hugs his knees "That's why Dad is so obsessed with going out to sea now, he just wants to be with Ma again,, but we had to sell his boat to move here, otherwise we wouldn't be able to leave that hellhole of a town."
"I understand how that feels, I lost Marissa when Sawyer was born, she left me to bring him into my life." Mendigo trails off then changes the topic. "You think it'd make your dad happy if i got him a boat? would you be happy? We could all go out on a boat trip for a few weeks, then maybe we could find a beautiful spot on an island to hold a small funeral for her, just as a remembrance day?"
"All he'd need to do to repay me, is have fun." he smiles small. "Thats all i ask, i just want you two to be happy, seeing my friends smile means more then money ever will."
"its alright. I'll just rent a boat for the four of u-" he pauses, his expression becoming slightly pained. "three, three of us,,"
"no,, that might take a few years,, i'd love too,, but.." he trails off
Mendigo looks slightly guilty. “He- he did say he was going to help some people relocate,, and they- they don’t know how long he’ll be gone,, if he-“ he trails off. “When. He comes back, I promise, we can all have a picnic
"Well, i was gonna leave some for her, but im sure she wouldn't mind." he pauses. "As odd as it sounds, she's rather fond of you and your father, you're like family to her. and to me as well." he smiles small.
Mendigo smiles sadly. "I just have this,, feeling. yknow? You ever feel things when you talk to your mother?"
"I dont think thats the case." Mendigo puts a hand on his shoulder. "Maybe she's having a hard time cause she died so far away? But how about this, close your eyes and just think about what you can remember of her, can you do that?"
casually for the sake of plot its randomly warm out now, but its really not its just

Mendigo smiles small. "anything?"
"Of course kiddo,, when we take our trip she might be able to talk to you much better." He smiles warmly, then hands the child a flower. "Now this is for you. Since your not hungry, and im not giving you wine, you have this."
"Of course, now, you can either stay here, head home or come with me, but im gonna go talk to Marissa." he smiles small
Mendigo spends the whole day at the graveyard, which, might be concerning the fact hes not home if either jackoline Adrian or Sage go to check on him :dancer:
Mendigo is sitting by a gravestone, he seems to be having a conversation, a very excited/happy one by his expression and movements
Mendigo leans against the stone, quiet, then takes a small sip from the wine bottle
which which could be a type of thing of 'oh. this idiots drunk. that makes sense' but,, he's not

theres a woman with him, shes rather short with white hair, grey eyes and she's wearing a pale silver gown, shes leaning against Mendigo, phasing through the gravestone.
Mendigo doesn't seem to notice her there, but the way he's talking shows he knows she's there.
The woman looks up and waves to her slightly.
Mendigo closes his eyes, just quiet, he didn't even notice Jackoline was there.
"Marissa, his Wife. Its nice to finally meet you, thank you for watching over my son." She glances at the now tired looking Mendigo. ",,and my husband. Your Jackoline, right?"
Mendigo is just half asleep, leaning on the gravestone
Marissa sighs. "Well,, you think you can get this goofball to head home and rest? i dont want him spending another night out here,, its not good for him." she gently pets the sleeping Mendigos head
