and then I heard about the community upgrade that was being made by Maxamillian Dood, Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite & Beyond, wich gave me SO much hope. I played it during Christmas time and had a blast. the new arcade mode, the 4 player mode, the infinity gauntlet to Thanos, The balance changes, The taunt after tag super, the sheer amount of new content and changes made in that community upgrade were amazing, and the visuals were SO cool

Not to mention it served as a tell to Capcom that people still want mvc and that the idea is still praised, since the games online essentially revived when MVCIB released. I was actually able to hop online, and que into a match for the first time in years. and then I think a little earlier before mvcib the mvc fighting collection dropped.

When the collection was announced my jaw dropped. Being able to play Every single MVC game ever on a console LEGALLY? count me in cuz Mvc2 (one of the greatest fighting games ever made) was essentially lost from every single possible way to play it. MVC2 finally had online servers again and MVC2 was finally accessable again. not only that, but Capcom also said that there's things to look forward to with mvc

and then ArcStystemWorks dropped their announcement & gameplay trailer for Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls.

The game looks amazing, the 4v4 on the fly combat, the Guilty Gear/Dragon Ball FighterZ Visuals work SO well for a Marvel fighting game. The designs made for the characters look SO cool and Im so down, except for the fact that WHAT HAPPENED TO MARVEL VS CAPCOM???

I don't mind that we aren't getting a mvc game but since arcsys is making it it kinda rubs me the wrong way, like Marvel doesn't wanna do stuff with Capcom anymore. I would genuinely be so saddened if that's the case because Mvc is one of my favorite fighting games of all time

I think its mainly due to the flop mvci ended up being mainly due to the lack of x-men, the realistic artstyle that looks ugly, the PowerPoint esque graphic design, etc is was killed mvci even though the gameplay was really fun
