Setting: The abandoned house, Early morning.

(XD It's fine) Vague: *slowly opening his eyes, sighing* Puzzle: *rolling over to get a better view of the window. Upon seeing the daylight -* Huh? What... Time is it? Vague: Early morning... *groans until he sees Poppy and quickly stops* How are you?

Puzzle: *readjusts his eye piece (Idk what to call it ._.)* I was alright. What about you, Vague? Vague: Good. Puzzle: *standing* We should probably go now. Wish we could say goodbye to Coro... Vague: We need to get food first.

Vague: *winces at the berries* We... Don't eat berries. Puzzle: *sniffs at the small objects, gently pushing them with his tail* We often feed on weak souls, bad thoughts if we're starving or, if we must, *hesitantly eats one of the berries* we can eat these sorts of foods. Vague: *swallows before eating several of the berries* They're... They have a unique flavour... Puzzle: *whispers to Poppy* That's his way of saying that he doesn't like them. *laughs quietly to himself as his brother rolls his eye tiredly* Vague: Thanks, Poppy. Though we should get a move on soon, I don't think there'll be much harm in exploring this house? Puzzle: *glancing at several broken objects laying scattered next to them* We might find something of interest. *Turns to Poppy* What d'you say?

Puzzle: *quickly darts through a doorway to their left, almost knocking into a large object covered with a light cloth* Vague: *rolls eye before following him, looking around the new room with interest for several seconds then trotting across the hallway into another room* Puzzle: *tugging at the cloth carefully* Hm... What's this?

Puzzle: *wavers tail, looking back at the doorway that Vague just exited through then back at Poppy* Um.. Did- Did my brother say anything to you last night? *He quickly adds* I just heard his voice and was wondering! Sorry if I'm mistaken... *pawing the ground nervously*

(Weird, for some reason FA stopped working 0-0) Puzzle: *nods* Ah... *quickly averts his eyes as he hears Vague knock something over in the next room* What'd he do now. *runs into the room across the hall where Vague is standing stiffly next to a pile of books, a mushroom cloud of dust surrounding it and him* Vague: *carefully steps away from the books* I. Did. Nothing. Puzzle: *sighs until he recognises several of the runes from the stone back in the forest on one of the books covers.* (BRB)

Puzzle: *nods* That's because we've seen them before. Remember the stone with the runes? Vague: Like I'd ever forget. *motioning to his healed eye* Puzzle: *pulls several books from under the pile, ones with runes, and opens the first page of one only to be met with scribbles, notes in an ancient language and random maths equations* What the-- Vague: *opens the first page of another, upon seeing the same result* Well then. *flicks through more of the pages, trying to find one that he can read or at least recognise the symbols of*

Puzzle: Yes it does! Hey, Vague, can you read these? Vague: *trotting over* N-no sorry-- Wait, yes! But it's just more stuff about windows to parallel universes, alternate worlds, bright places, soon turned dark - Stuff we already know. Though, there is stuff about people, nothing specific, who knows how to open and close these windows at will. Puzzle: Amazing... Vague: *shakes his head* Not sure how true all of this is. If these *pointing to symbols at the top of each page* are correct then these must have been written centuries ago, thousands of years or more. Puzzle: Still interesting.

Puzzle: *chuckles at her sneezes before realising what she said at the same time as Vague* Vague: *looking directly at his brother* A bright world-- Puzzle: If the Midnight Bridge exists then there COULD be a day bridge-- Vague: Soon turned dark-- A-and people are said to open these windows also known as-- Puzzle: Gateways like the one at the start of the bridge-- Vague: That can only be opened by certain people like Mystery! Puzzle: *eyes widen and he grins at Poppy* You're a genius! Vague: *blinks* How did we not even think of this... (Their reaction is my reaction XD)

Puzzle: *swallows, embarrassed* I don't know. One for living people to walk on? Vague: *rolls eye* But think of how many bridges there are! On Earth and other worlds, in our space, alternate ones-- Who knows where it could be. Puzzle: Think outside the box. Vague: Believe me *laughs sarcastically* I'm trying! *growls*

Vague: *stops growling as he sees Poppy reaction* W-well. There are children on the Midnight Bridge but we rarely see them and when we do they're silhouettes are more blurred and fuzzy than the adults. Plus there isn't that much for them to do. Adults can look at the stars, dance, talk, watch the water but if you're a child I guess it would be pretty boring. Puzzle: So it... Could be for children, yes. Vague: But that doesn't answer why the stone existed, what it meant-- What THESE books mean. Puzzle: *sighs* Or why there are books about this. Maybe someone was studying the bridges? I don't know... *hangs head*

Puzzle: *smiles weakly* Yeah, we could do that. Vague: *hides his mild anger at their actions, sucking in a sharp inhale* Should we ask him? We could ask Secret as she knew more about the runes. Though... *thinks* We should go to Mystery if he's one of the people who can open the gateways. He could also tell us about the Day Bridge - if there even is one. Puzzle: *nods* We'll leave the books here and see if we can find Mystery around here, he must be looking for us. If not, we'll go straight to the bridge. Vague: *nodding to Poppy* Lead the way.

Vague and Puzzle: *following until they here a quiet 'whoosh'ing sound several meters behind them* Mystery: *appears near Poppy, widening his eye as it quickly flickers red before returning to normal* Hello there. Puzzle: *jumps slightly* D-don't do that!

(It's what he was born to do. Inspirational.) Mystery: *steps closer to the group* What is it you wish to know? Puzzle: *glances at Vague* Vague: *swallows* We wanted to know...Is there a- Is there are Day Bridge? Mystery: *narrows eye and flickers tail for several seconds before eventually replying* There is... What you would call a 'Day Bridge', yes. Why do you ask?

Puzzle: And the windows meaning gateways, and people who can open these gateways like- like you. Vague: These books are somehow linked to the stone we told you and Secret about, the stone is linked to a pathway that leads into an alternate world where everything is dead, dark and... *shivers* Eugh. Puzzle: And we think that that alternate world is somehow linked to the bridges. Mystery: *sighs as he moves his gaze from one figure to another* You'll have to talk to Secret. We can clear this up ther-- *his eye suddenly rapidly flickers for at least ten seconds then abruptly stops* --later. Sorry, I must go to the bridge. *disappears* Vague: *Mutters* Which one? Puzzle: *looks at Poppy* Dad looked... Worried. And what happened to his eye? Vague: Something's happening at the bridge. Midnight or Day, we need to get there.

Puzzle: Good idea. *nods* Lets go. Vague: *disappears along with his brother and Poppy* - At the Midnight Bridge - *there are silhouettes crowding the bridge, some alone, others in small groups talking, their faces rapidly changing in a blur, some drinking from glasses of smoke while others swayed with their partners as they looked over the rails* Vague: *shakes head* Everything's in place as it should be. Puzzle: How can we- *steps aside to let an elderly couple pass* How can we find the Day Bridge? Vague: At the start of this bridge there's a gateway though it's mostly blocked by mist and fog if not blocked by crowd of people. Puzzle: Then lets get there and see if there's anything there. (My mind is blank so can you maybe describe what happens next? Literally my inspiration is *fwoof*)

Vague and Puzzle: *teleport quickly to the other side of the bridge where they appear in the middle of a great cluster of people, mist and fog leaving almost blind* Vague: *blinks as he tried to search for Poppy* Puzzle: *pushes through the crowd until he gets to an opening, his jaw drops open* Vague- Vague: *frantically trying to find Poppy* Wait, Puzzle-- Puzzle: VAGUE. Vague: *turns to see what he's shouting about*

(It would take me longer to write this, sorry >-<) Before the trio is a dock of some sort, blue candles lining the glowing wood and, only a few feat above is a portal. Vague: The Gateway... The gateway is huge, at least fifty feat high, an archway supported by pillars of mist, rings and vines of icy-coloured smoke twist around the pillars as a swirling pool of light slowly ripples with each person passing through. Short bursts of blue energy shoot out every now and then, though they disappear before reaching anyone on the bridge. Puzzle shuddered, swallowing before nodding to Vague and Poppy. Puzzle: Even if it doesn't lead directly to the Day Bridge, it'll bring us close to there.

Puzzle: It's supported by pillars of some kind, sort of looking like an ancient window. Vague: *slowly steps across the dock until he is a few meters away from the portal, the pressure emitted by the closeness of two worlds forcing him to close his eye and strain his limbs. He only just manages to slip to the side as a group of people in long coats walk calmly by* C-come on. Lets get through here. Puzzle: *Hurriedly follows and, waiting for Poppy first, leaps into the portal, sending out a ripple as his body fully disappears.* Vague: *Opens his eye thinly to look at Poppy* Ready?

Vague: *Follows not a moment after* - On the other side - (I'm lazy sooo yeah) The trio suddenly land of smooth rock, marble, light blinding them momentarily before they are finally able to open their eyes. They are on a circle of marble in the middle of a golden field surrounded by dark, pine and oak trees, the sun setting behind them. There is the sound of a distant train and the trio all turn in unison to see a great bridge almost right across the field from them, train smoke trailing into the sky as silhouettes of light quickly pass to and fro along the tracks. Vague: *sniffs* There's our Day Bridge. Puzzle: Something's wrong... look at the smoke. It's darker than it should be, going up in different directions. Vague: *widens eye* There's been a crash...
