It's a theory therfore it's not
likely childhood or pressure, i think most religious people subconsciously know (/think) that their religion is fake but use it as a source of release or help ig.
vice versa, most people just grew up with the religion or felt the need to believe in it.
eitherway we're all gonna die it doesnt matter none of our contributions to humanity will ever tinkle with anything on a universal scale
That would actually make a lot of sense
Most people don't really adapt a different personality from their parents unless they were distant or another circumstance
