Linksomething I learned with shading now is to get 3 versions of the color you want to shade (copying off of the color you chose for your drawing) and make one dark, light and one of the same exact color as the color you stole, lower the opacity and start coloring using the darker color, and after this you use the midtone to make it look smoother (You use the midtone for both the dark and the light shaded parts to blend)
