He darts across the dank hallway as guards chase after the boy. Nathan is near the latch that leads to the outside, as well as Levi. A spark of hope flickers through his body as he runs faster, but to no avail. Levi is gone. The executioner thrusts him outside, “NO!” Nathan shouts as Levi locks eyes with him.
