so marks lore he actually does like someone, that some one is ace, they were in love for 3-4 years. it started when mark babysitted d.b (along with pie and ace) ace and marks relationship was compilicated, see, ace did like mark and mark did like ace and it was painfully obvouis. but mark didnt have the guts and ace felt as if mark wasnt really in love with her. and then the murder of pie happenes and she has more important stuff to deal with. she actually did make a great detective almost figuring who killed pie was. but before mark tries to get her out this rabit hole by getting rid of her stuff. this of course leads to a huge agruement which leads ace to storm off during a blizzard. ace was close to figuring out the killer, to close. she was found dead by mark who went searching for her. he didnt REALLy think bonnie killed her but he needed something- anything- to blame than himself. (theres way more lore about him like for enstance the lore behind my pfp and other crap that explains some things)
